Jaros gone out to Ajax for the year.

Lot to like there.

Brilliant next level experience for Jaros. Which can only serve everyone involved whether he stays here. Or we flip him for a tidy profit. Only increase our relationship with Ajax. Which given what they produce, is never a bad thing for any club to have. Not least with a certain LB/ CH of theirs who’s high on our radar. And it does the greatest living Evertonian a solid after his part in what he delivered home for us.

Perfect first loan move of the summer.

Bayer Leverkusen close to agreement with Liverpool to sign Jarell Quansah. No formal bid from #Bayer04 to #LFC yet but talks progressing towards deal being done for just north of €40m. Personal terms for 22yo defender no issue. W/ @SebSB @TheAthleticFC

Feel for him. Think once the high of his initial confident run of being im the team under Klopp wore off it showed his limits as a player under Slot. Subbing him off at half time was brutal and I dont think he recovered all season.

He struggled in league 1 and Bristol were surprised he stepped up to PL levels but the lack of confidence and mistakes compounded for me. Still a good player under there if he follows his natural progression expected but ultimately I dont think he was good enough long term for the club and the fee is very good from Hughes and co.

You think Quansah's limited? Really?

I just thought it was the natural drop off of a second season, young CH. The single hardest position for a youngster to be consistent at. That only comes with experience and games. And we just couldn't afford him that so it was a vicious circle. Got every trait for a top CH. Really surprised they are contemplating off loading him. And at such a low price too. You aren't getting a player at 22 of his potential for that price. But then we've far bigger things to stack up the money toward at the other end of the pitch before this window is out.

Geuhi can do one like. Utter S in the air and a lack of pace. The complete opposite of what we look for in a CH.

Give Quansah 2 years starting regularly in the Bundesliga and CL, and he'll be a far better and more expensive player at 24, than the Palace las is at that age now.

Flipping Quansah for Geuhi (Sp?) would be proper underwhelming for me.

Agree to disagree. I think once the confidence and initial high wore off, he really struggled and not just because he was a young player learning his trade. He's good on the ball no doubts but it felt like he was trying to mimic playing like Virgil when it just didn't suit him or the role expected.

I think Guehi is a lot better than you give him credit for but the lack of ability in the air goes against what is expected from our CBs. Forgetting about Quansah and Guehi for a second this kinda highlights that Konate is probably off next summer for a free which is disappointing to say the least. I'd sell him this summer and get a fee as we can't afford another top player leaving for nothing.

Defo need a fee for Konate. But I wouldn’t be too arsed to see him go. On his day he’s unbeatable. But he always has a mistake in him. And a costly one. Seems Deschamps can see that too given his lack of time for France.

Never been half as big on him as many others are.

Hato is the dream and they are still massively high on him. I just don’t know how you sell, in a World Cup year, going from a star at Ajax to a back-up LB/ CH? Even if that Ch role
would be the long term succession to big Virg. 🤷‍♂️

Proper hard sell that. But then we are ALL in this summer. So with the very realistic prospect of Isak following Wirtz, the attraction is just getting off the scales great for anyone.

Best PL signing EVER!

Seriously. I’ll happily die on that hill. People don’t realise just what we’ve done here,

That’s the league retained right there. He’s THAT special a difference maker.

Just the PL Champions doing what the PL Champions now do. And they ain’t stopping there. I firmly believe we’ll beat this transfer record before the window shuts.
