Because Ming took control of the ball with his chest and brought down to foot. It was stupid risk to take, any other defender would have headed it away, he looked behind him also just before so he knew player was there.
Idiotic defensive decision.

Yep, but just as legal as the goal Gary Crosby scored for Nottingham Forest v Man CIty in the 90's when Dibble had the ball in his hand and Crosby came from behind, headed it off the hand and calmly tapped it into the net. Now that one was controversial, but awarded I believe under the same 'rule'

Wouldn't the "activating from offside position" work here? Because Mings wouldn't lose the control of the ball if he wasn't being pressured by a player coming from an offside position?
Isn't this the same situation?

Hes never in control of it, Mings chests it down and then tries to turn... counts as two phases, if Rodri challenges him for the ball in the air its given.

Cancelo heat map against wba.... Defending is overrated.

He is always so forward. Reason he has not got any assists is so bad finishing by City forward. Missing Kun has been blow to their attack and now finally with new very fluid system with f9 they are getting on the scoring sheet again.

Same goes for Shaw last 2 seasons. Our forwards waste to many of his crosses/cutbacks. He could of had about 6 already

Very decent stat for 20 year old. Think around half would be sub appearance but still, star filled squad.
[Transfermarkt] Phil Foden has now played 100 games for Manchester City, winning 85 of them (City record). He has also been involved in 41 goal contributions, at the rate of 0.75 G/A per 90

What a perfect week of results for us.. its all coming up Milhouse
