The Manchester United Thread

3-2 now. Not a good game for Man Utd fan as the team is obviously not as match fit as the Roma players and we were actually quite bad in the second half. But still, the last 15 minutes of the first half is really good.

Very impressed again imo. 2nd half was always going to be tough once Roma brought on all there top players. In the end they scored once from a mistake from Amos and once from a peno that was defo not! To Amos credit made a worldie save minutes later. 2 out of 2 not bad start.

Not sure if it's that impressive, as LVG doesn't look like a happy chap at all after the whistle blew.

Wonder how much to read into the fact that Clevz got subbed after LVG said he'd be getting 90?

Yes indeed, could of been jaded due to conditions but was not that great tbh. On Redcafe someone just posted Vidal back on tweet could be complete this week, also same guy who tweeted Fletcher,Cleverly would be named captain 24hrs before was announced. People all say he is very reliable.

Van Gaal not happy with Nani and Zaha apparently has give them both a good dressing down about there poor attitudes. Can surely see them both going. Also was not happy with the teams passing in tonights game.

Nani and zaha will probably be gone, maybe a loan for zaha.

Still hoping young and one of cleverley or fellaini are sold, don't think kagawa is safe either.

So Kagawa been played in CM both games now.

Very surprised by his performance, looked very solid in CM with his passing and also tackling. Liking this formation/tactics where we don't need CM to win possession. Everyone is going for tackles and 50-50 balls. Last season and before that we played sort of hold back game where we didnt go for tackle but waited to intercept passes.

Also not sure why Blackett got so much stick, he played well IMO and stepped up in the second half. Smalling just had a very very good CB. Solid CB.

Looks like Giggs might have them managerial chops after all if LVG signed up for his idea to play Kagawa as CM.

Stop talking about Vidal, my heart can't take it anymore.

All we have to do is beat Inter next and we will win the group and progress through to the final. Roma played loads better than Inter and have better squad, should be ok. Could start the season with 2 trophies already :)

Bought myself last seasons DVD review yesterday for some strange reason, watched it this morning and cant believe how bad we were both attacking wise and defensively. Then basically with the same squad how different we look in the 1st 2 pre season games so far, I really hope we don't have to watch dros like last season ever again, really did make me cringe! At least I have all seasons reviews now from 94 think they started on VHS :)

He's done fairly well so far. LVG was very clear with his message about the 10's. There are too many, some will have to adapt or leave. Who is the 4th though? Mata, Januzaj, Kagawa?

Was thinking the same unless he was talking about Rooney?
