No good player is "openly available" unless you pay the money, but when we spunked the amount we did, it's obvious that we could of got another CB from somewhere if we paid the price.

Sorry I just don't rate Vlaar at all tbh, would of been ok but that's it. Money does not guarantee you will get said player its as simple as that. What if LVGs targets 1st,2nd,3rd choice were not available for CB.

Would have been more than ok, like i said you need some sort of leader or calming influence at the back anyone who has played the game at any sort of level or in any form knows the confidence a leader at the back gives you.
 
Well im not gonna panic over our defence, or form after 1 bad result which was not all to blame on the defence tbh.
 
LVG was right the team were to blame not just the defence. We should have kept possession better after going 3-1 up instead of attacking at every opportunity. And lets not forget the decisions that went against us, that turned the game.

You should be, it's buckles under any sort of pressure, peoples fears over our defence will be magnified once we go to anfield or play chelsea/city. I mean 5 against leicester ******* leicester.

Im actually looking forward to seeing Rojo and Smalling play together, and seeing Shaw as well make his debut. Will be good to have Fellaini back also.

Whatever you smoke i want some, rojo seems like he has poor positional sense and smalling looks like he shites himself everytime the ball is at his feet but it's better than blackett.
 
People on twitter who are fans of Porto were saying Rojo was nowhere near good enough for United, so not confident about him at all. But we have no choice but to see how he does in next few games.

No smoking here :) Just confident in the ability of our players. Think Rojo will come good ,Smalling needs to start being more consistent plus he has just come from injury. Blackett has impressed me tbh for his 1st season/games in the 1st team and convinced he will develop well.

Until blackett turns into sakho 2.0 during a game, he looked good and then just went to **** again mental strength and dealing with pressure none of them at the back have it.

Porto? I work with 2 Sporting fans for the past 20-35 yrs and said he was very raw with high ceiling, and were gutted when we signed him. I think I will trust them.

Being very harsh on Blackett concidering his age and the things the team are dealing with.

Isn't that Van Gaal's fault then? Shouldn't he coach to hold possession.

I'd like to seem you name all these commanding defenders though. It's not about a new players, its about the players learning to do it for themselves. Otherwise they wont develop. Cant keep spunking money on new players everytime something goes wrong/
