That's not a calm head though. Mcnair thinks better than him, and he's 18.
Not watched the match but maybe now is the chance to forget about smalling (who s 24 ffs so wont get better) and maybe give mcnair or blackett priority? And to think that LVG said that the need to avoid red cards was addressed in training... ffs!
Honestly I would. I said at the start Smalling and Fellaini would have the most to fear, Fellaini has kicked on though and done well. Smalling is playing because people are injured. He needs to wake up in jan

There was questions around a week ago over here when I suggested selling Smalling in the summer. Kinda feeling vindicated now, although I'd have loved not to :\
The sad part is, we don't even have to ****** buy in January, we just need to keep Evans and Jones fit. Both are quality in a 4-man defence. FFS, that is more than enough for us in the League currently, with Rojo, Blackett and McNair as backup. We seriously need to have a look at what the **** is going on regarding fitness, it's ****** atrocious. Too many players off injured, at this rate, Arsenal fans will be laughing at us. >.<
But yeah, keep Jones and Evans fit, and in the summer, go in seriously for Hummels. Or someone better. But the sad part is, one or the other is almost always injured, probably forcing our hand into buying in January again, I believe.

It's understandable and a obvious comparison
I can see United getting better each week. Very proud of our 10 men. Smalling you *****. Need to sign 1/2 defenders in January and maybe a midfield rock. Rooney looked good in midfield. Think falcao will offer more than rvp when fit. Mata should be sold to free up space and wages. Fellani looked better again. Shaw improving every week. Optimistic that we will soon turn a corner and put a big run together a shoot up the table.
I thought you meant in terms of buying a player.
Whenever we lose it's the same **** posts here, that defense is poor and it was not addressed. It's the topic that makes even the sane posters to post completely **** posts. We have signed Shaw, Rojo, Blind who are all defensive options and still the same point is repeated. What's even worse is so many so called pundits like Neville, Carragher saying we signed too many LBs when it's so obvious Rojo and Blind are primarily not.
Re the game Smalling was very stupid to get sent off. At this rate I won't be surprised to see Mcnair becoming the first choice CB. Now with Rojo out we are in bit more trouble. Our defenders just can't catch a break. So many injuries.

Because it is poor and anyone with any sort of cells in their brain can see it's well below united standards.
What is United standard? Players like Vidic, Rio, Ronaldo? If so we can't sign anymore players.
Bruce, Pallister, Stam, Silvestre, irwin, neville a fit brown when he was here i all rate over smalling, jones, rojo, rafael and evans. Yes we can sign quality cb's and players you plum.
We could easily find cb's to a better standard compared to smalling and jones.
