United agree terms to bring in £36.9m defender in the summer.Manchester United have reportedly agreed terms on their first signing of the summer with reports suggesting they will shell out for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi. The Argentina defender has been watched by United scouts for the last 12 months and reports in Spain claim Louis van Gaal has agreed to meet his buyout clause of £36.9million.

Otamendi has reportedly agreed to United's terms, with the transfer set to be completed at the end of the season.

Maybe not but he was one of the best CBs last year in La Liga and has been the best CB this year by far! People talk about Laporte,Hummels,Gimmenez etc which is all well and good but they will cost just as much maybe more and have been ***** compared to Otamendi this season. If you want good players your gonna have to pay top dollar simple as. Otamendi has improved no end and is in his prime. Do we really need another young CB? Heck we may even sign him and another. But to say he is over priced I think is silly because on current form he is worth it and has been better than any other CB we have been linked with this season by a mile!
 
So mancs,it is true that Depay will be a red-devil in the summer ?!
There are rumours saying that ManUTD are willing to pay 30m€ for young winger Memphis Depay,he would suit good,along with januzaj,mata and Di Maria...:)
Also,Hummels or Godin...and the loved Pogba :)
Pogba-biggest SAF's mistake...
ManU mostly need a world class defender and a defensive midfielder,and maybe a World class striker,with Rooney as CM,and Van Persie drop...
I think that best option are Hummels,2xBender and Hurricane(Harry Kane)...
Btw,Kane just make his debut for England scoring after 79seconds

Yes, rumours are that Depay will be with us in the summer, and that would be a good piece of business.

Godin, no. Too expensive considering his age, also no indications that he wants to leave, that is just rehashing a year old rumour.

We don't really need a defensive midfielder, we need a dynamic midfielder in CM. We already have Blind/Carrick for CDM, don't think we need another there.

And Rooney at CM? Are you serious? That's rather dumb, as evidenced by the current season.

And Harry Kane? Dunno, I'm not all that convinced. He's been class this season, but somehow, I keep wondering whether it is a one-season thing with him..

If we sign a STR it will be a younger and will not be Kane.
 
Both Gribbin and Gomes scored today vs. PNE.Think it's the U18s team. Hope we don't lose Gribbin looks a talent and Gomes looks like he could be a star of the future!

4.Not Rooney as CM,i mean van gaal use him sometimes as CM,when Roo plays CM,hes terrible...
5.Why not ? Hes young,home grown,he knows BPL...
I think UTD want Cavani or Ibra,thats what i saw,maybe just rumours...

Hummels would be good but there has to be douts over his form and injury problems this season. Plus if we sign Otamendi I don't think theres any chance of signing Hummels as well onless we sell 2 CBs. And Kane is just no, hes had 1 good season and Spurs/Levy would want about 40m for him.
