We'll finish 3rd playing average football, which makes you wonder what one could acheive if we actually took the brakes off. in many ways reminds me of Jose, he's as afflicted by the 5-3 leicester loss as Jose is by the spurs one

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Why won't they 'have a bang'??
It's like they are afraid to take a shot or something? Probing for the perfect goal, which fails and we end up passing it backwards again.

At this moment I don't think we are playing defensively, it's just that we are toothless in the attack. We are very slow, predictable and easy to defend.

Something to do with Van Gaal?

When Depay, Herrera or any other attacker misses chances, those are highlighted and are dropped but Van Gaal never talks about Rooney and always plays him.

So players are afraid to lose the ball?
 
It's obvious...if your name isn't rooney and you take risks and have so many ball losses, you get benched

Ask memphis and di maria...and herrera earlier last season
 
Honestly, the whole "man utd arent playing attacking football" is starting to get really annoying. What matters at the end of the day, is results. Which we are getting. And its not like we have scored the least amount of goals. We are currently 7th with amount of goals scored, and also let in the least amount of goals.

So sure, the style of play isn't the way we used to play 5 years ago, but that's what happens when you get a whole new team and a new manager.
 
Honestly, the important thing to realize, is that this squad is 2-3 good transfers from becoming a force that may potentially dominate for the next decade. Almost entire team is still young and will play at high level for many years. The defense is nearly unpenetrable. You're completely dominating the possession. The good signs are there.

You have to wonder if he's biding his time to see if United stay in touch till the crunch time and risk it from there. And you are are right about 2-3.

Needs to give up on Muller. Aubamenyang is the one, Griezmann too

Let's not forgot also that Manchester United are not playing to entertain themselves but they are playing to entertain the fans. Van Gaal's style of football may be grinding results but it's not something the fans want to see nor something they want to pay to see mind you. Do you expect this style of football to bold well for the future?
 
So, we're in November and United's issues are exactly what I said they would be: forget all the **** around the defence (which is been epic really) we can't score, and havent been able to for 2 years. You can see why United keep trying to bring back Ronaldo

Bringing back Ronaldo alone won't solve the problem though. He scores so many at Madrid because of how Madrid play, so many attackers with many risk takers and fantastic off the ball movement from everyone to make space for others. At ManUtd everything is so static he will start throwing tantrums within 10 mins back playing.

Funny enough, ronaldo is struggling to score right now tho...since that defeat to barcelona, real madrid have been playing like us
 
Zzezzy needs to come back to forums, so we can make fun of him for claiming the most pressing need is buying 2 more centerbacks.
