Januzaj definitely has the talent, but he also quite evidently has attitude problems. All the praise from Moyes days must have gotten to his head, because it's no accident that he doesn't play for United, didn't play for Dortmund, and doesn't really play for Belgium either.

Pereira certainly looks good when he plays, but he's done nothing to earn starting spot over Mata, and rotation isn't necessary either, because Mata has no problem playing 50 games a season. So yeah. Mebbe Pereira gets his chance now after the red card.

Mata has incredible fitness tho...can't remember the last time he got injured

At the end of the day, they'll be the ones with something tangible in their hands and you'll be the ones clutching onto a sense of a worn out sense of pride with nothing to show for it. Sounds familiar right?

Mods, you do a great job of letting a lot of **** slide on here. But seriously, step in here. This **** is completely and utterly uncalled for and unacceptable. (And not for the first time. The last time you 'slapped his wrist' over something like this was over Munich.).

You gonna' allow this to be taken to these low life levels to garner a reaction before it all goes to **** and you have to act?
 
anyway rapidly moving on from the potential clusterfuck, Uefa must be rubbing their hands that the Europa League has such a glamour tie, well 2 really in spurs and Dortmund too. There is only really the Chelsea/PSG and Juve/Bayern ties that compare. Its taken a while but hopefully we are going to start seeing some glamour back in the old UEFA cup especially now the winners qualify for the UCL.

I remember back when Leeds was goodish, my first European game was Leeds vs Lokomotiv Moscow and Michael Bridges tore them to shreds (if memory serves correct 4-0 and bridges scored a brace, could be wrong may have been someone totally different) What was peoples first euro match throwing it out to non united fans too, nothing better to me tbh, no matter which euro competition. obviously you cannot beat hearing that UCL theme tune but I loved all my European matches both home and away!
 
Also I'm actually at work, which means I'm liable to throw out really long bans left right and centre rather than work out who is in the right or wrong here. So pipe down on all sides, play nice or disappear.

ajt, feel free to throw bans/infractions as you see fit.
 
Let's leave the rubbish. What are the predictions for the match then?

I'm going 1-1. Few tasty challenges resulting in a shout match between LVG and Klopp ;)
 
I can honestly see us losing 2-1 tomorrow and then nicking a boring 1-0 at OT and going through on away goals
