Bringing in Pjanic would mean that Mata will be sold? Or how are you thinking this about formation.

You cant be too harsh with Schneiderlin, at some point (in PL season) he was the only one who was playing good on the pitch.

Pjanic is a central midfielder so wouldn't really be in competition with Mata who would be AMR or AMC. He would be the replacement for when Carrick leaves.

Him and Schneiderlin would make a good partnership on the middle imo

Pjanic isn't a DLP tho. He likes to get forward. So does schneiderlin.

He's a brilliant tackler and intercepts really well. His role isn't to get forward as much, United need other players who will get forward with the ball. Pjanic scores loads and assists loads and United lack goals right now.

Could do a lot worse than Pjanic

We don't need Pjanic and we don't need a back up right back. Pjanic has been not much better than Herrera this season or last and we don't need another player like that we need someone who can control games. And for RB we have Darmian, Varela, Valencia, Riley, TFM who can all play there. That's more than enough let's give Darmian a chance first he was very good at the start and we have had plenty of players turn good after a **** first season. And that goes for the rest of the new signings.

I'd seriously like us to try McNair or fosu Mensah at DM and see how they do. Maybe we won't need to splash out cash on one.

I lose my **** every time I see McNair's name. Fosu Mensah, surely, that kid is fantastic, dunno why was he benched and what the **** did Rojo on the pitch recently.

Yesterday's game was a disgrace really and honestly we don't even deserve to play in the Champions League.

Poor case of management with McNair good player made his impression in CM/DM with the u 21s rated highly by Joyce and ****. Did well in his games in the first team then slung on the bench. He is still a good player imo.

Herrera - 39 appearances (11 as sub though) mainly in AMC - 4 goals 2 assists

Pjanic - 41 appearances (3 as sub) mainly in CM - 12 goals 12 assists.

Surely there is a fair difference there mate? At Roma he is probably their player of the season, him or Salah, maybe Florenzi I'd say

I've watched plenty of Roma and United this year. I like Herrera, I'd like to see him start a good run again but anyway, he's AMC.

In CM you will probably be losing Carrick. That leaves Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin as the main CMs with others who can play there like Felliani, Hererra or Blind. Schweini still needs to be starting consistent games, he's your DLP.

None of these are going to score or assist a great deal but I think the team would benefit from a CM who does chip in goals and assists. Of course it will probably fall to the fact LVG wants ball retention and players sticking to certain roles which is why no CM is involved in goals this season. So a change of set up would probably rectify that as you certainly have players that are capable of much more.

They don't necessarily NEED Pjanic, but having him would be one **** of an option. Still, he would be expensive....

Dont get me wrong I like him. But I think if Herrera started more and in a functioning team he would get close to them numbers.

I agree mate, I've seen both sides of Herrera since he joined United. One game he would be giving the ball away all the time, the next game he'd be involved in everything good that the team was doing.

He's more useful than Pjanic at winning a ball mind, I'll give him that haha

It will be interesting to see the likes of Darmian, Schniederlin, Herrera etc after another season and under a new manager. Well all the new signings we made this season! Can't wait for Shaw to be back.

Yeah if you can keep them fit and have a manager that lets players have a bit more freedom you could be really good.

Still think Depay could come good, blind faith or optimism but if he can use Shaw overlaps it could really open up the left hand side

Them 2 were so good down that left till Shaw got injured seem to have good chemistry on and off the pitch.

Just watching UEFA u17s atm. Por v Bel Indy Boonen playing upfront having a good game so far a few nice passes and nearly put them ahead with a clever run but keeper made a good save. Looks a real talent from what I have seen of him this season and at international youth level.
