Matter of opinion.

You might currently be playing him there but that's not to say he's ultimately better suited there.

He is though. He's far too good at running at people, to have him play with his back to goal most of the game.

And mind, he's been playing on the wing while supported by a brigade of makeshit fullbacks. Imagine next season when he gets to combine with Shaw. They're going to tear the league apart.

Martial is best when he can isolate and destroy a player. Does it perfectly from the wing. Rashford will be the CF

He's not that good of a finisher plus he lacks that certain "fox in the box" instinct in the penalty box.

He's kinda like neymar. He can play up top but he's better on the left. Plus they play a similar game/way.

With a place in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on 21 May already assured, Van Gaal says taking the battle for a top four place to the final game represents some degree of success.
"We can win the FA Cup," he said. "And we are still in the race. How many teams can say that? Not many. Our aim was to qualify. Of course you can say Manchester United need to be champions, yes I know the expectations are like that but I don't think that is realistic."

LVG's delusion is on the level of Moyes and the football is worse a lot of the time, only when we play big teams does LVG come into his own.

This guy is a ****** joke, he has spent near £300m and he thinks getting near to top 4 is success.

Honestly our board are total clowns but if they don't remove this manager at the end of this season then I can seriously forget any hope of next season, no matter who we sign.

I got to be honest I've watched less and less games this season under LVG due to the dross football and 1 or 2 chance per match if we're lucky than I did under Moyes.

LVG clearly gone imo. He even admits he has failed his targets this season. And admits the board have given him no assurance over his job next season.

His finishing and composure are excellent for someone so you and could easily play as a STR but I agree I think he is best staying out left destroying FBs. Just imagine a front 3 of him, Zlatan and one of Griezmann and James that would be up there with anything in Europe next season. Or a front 4 of martial, Zlatan, Griezmann and James in a 4231 is not out of the question :}

I never thought I'd want a manager gone more than Moyes, but this is pushing that boundary. Position wise we may be slightly better in league but the football has been worse a lot of the time, that's right worse than Moyes. At least under Moyes in some games we'd have 80 crosses, we'd have to get to attacking positions to at least do that which we never would under LVG.

I even heard LVG banging on about how we've improved in defensive organisation in the press conference (we have during the course of this season) but seriously why would he be saying stuff like that after watching that disaster show of a defence in last game, which has cost us top 4 unless a major slip up for City. Not the right time to say **** like that, fans are already wound up as it is with how **** we were against West Ham.

You should of been around the late '80's/ early '90's. (Apologies if you were.).

As as hard as it is to believe now in hindsight, there was a big ground swell of your support calling for Ferguson's head every game with chants and banners. And although Utd's rhetoric is different today, EVERY news outlet had him gone that third round cup game at Forrest. Even the BBC that Sunday afternoon taking it live IIRC. Then Mark Robbins popped up and it all rolled from there.

If that had been now, I doubt he'd of survived to that point and social media would of been off the charts nuts.

Not that Van Gaal deserves a second more, but there's a lesson in there somewhere for giving managers time.

Whoever is telling Sky, Utd have no "agreement" for Mourinho this summer is either lying or has no clue.

What blows my mind considering all this is we just dont score goals despite the obvious amount of money thats been spent on attacking talent over his 2 years yet we still can't score! We have only conceded 34 goals thats less than every team in the premier league bar Tottenham!! We cant score despite most of our transfer money flowing into attacking and midfield positions. Any other manager would be tossed for such ridiculous outcomes. It just floors me how we can't score enough and all I can think is it comes down to the tactics he chooses to employ!

Because he's been talked about a fair bit in here .....

Higuain just broke 66 year single season goal record in Serie A. 36 goals in 34 games.

Ibra said in an interview after his last league game tonight which he scored 2 Goals and broke the most league goals record for 1 season 38. He said when asked about his future I have always dreamed about playing in the Premier league and I know where I will be playing next season. But I can't say tonight.

Him and Mou skipping hand in hand down busby way :)
