Still hope we push for Marquinhos or Manolas as well as this chap we're signing from Villereal that would be pretty much solid looking defence in terms of CB if we ship out two of Blind/Rojo/Jones.

Our centre-back options next season could be: - Smalling, Marquinhos/Manolas, Blind, Bailly - I'd be happy with that. Bare in mind you could very well replace one of them with Fosu-Mensah, depends how Jose sees him, I reckon he might fancy him in a more midfield role. But time shall tell.
Yeah this guy and Manolas would be sweet. Next year have Smalling, Manolas, Bailley, Jones with some game time for Tuanzebe and Williams. All most certain Blind and Rojo will be gone.

Depends on the signing tbh. Would be a good squad player. But I would not mind if he left. We have Shaw, CBJ, Rojo, Darmian, Young who can play LB. We have Smalling, Jones, Rojo, TFM plus 1 or 2 CBs coming in then the highly rated Williams, Tuanzebe, Poole all coming through and Warrell and Olesunde. In midfield we will have Carrick, Schweinstiger, TFM, Herrera, Schniederlin, Fellaini, Pereira, Goss plus 1 or 2 new signings. I don't think we will miss him tbh.

Or you keep him, since he has done well for his first season in the PL in a new position. He's a great utility player and will be very useful as a squad player atleast. Would save you 2 signings for the CB/CM/LB positions to deepen your squad.

I would not be fussed either way. But not sure Mourinho will be keen. Can't see were he fits in tbh. But depends on sales and signings. Personally I think there was truth in the Mata and Blind leaving SSN reported. It's the same Sky sources that said about Zlatan.

Blind would be guaranteed starter if he was 2 inches taller, but Mourinho is obsessed with having tall backline. In midfield he'd be 3rd in pecking order behind Carrick and Bastian. On left back he'd be 3rd in pecking order behind Shaw and CBJ. So yeah. I have a hard time imaging he'd accept being reduced to backup of a backup after 2 years of being guaranteed starter.

So much salt in those tears. I mean it's almost like this myth hasn't been slightly blown away already

Not sure why you think my opinion is blinkered by Jose going to Utd, Jose's always wanted the Utd job i've always known he would take it one day. We had problems under him and still have problems now i'm not bothered in the slightest trust me. I'm just pointing out what Jose is and that's a quick fix results man and a sensational one of that he is. However because he's so good at that kids aren't part of his plan its just a fact, he demands results instantly which means not taking any risks and kids are a risk. And trust me tactically i'm far happier with Conte than Jose especially in the last 18 months, 4-2-3-1 only got ******* boring.

Are you trying to tell me that Conte is the better tactician?

Bailly is great, hope we do get him. Had an excellent season Angry CB though, but again aggression is something we lack.

If blind had the physical attributes of Phil Jones, I'd probably say we don't need a cb

Conte is not tactically superior, in fact he is tactically very average. His team didn't even qualify from group stages in CL. With the same team and without much additions Allegri reached finals and this season his teams was few mins away from knocking out Bayern.

Conte is a fraud.

Get job in Juve ====> Sign Pirlo ===> Acquire titles in a league with no serious teams left ===> genius manager.

We might sign one more CB and Bailly as RB too. Hopefully Darmian is given proper shot before discarding him.

Yeah could do that. As he can play both sides as FB which is a bonus. I hope he gives Darmian a chance because he was good at the start of last season and as an out and out defending FB is very good.

So much wrong with this. Sincerely hope you are being sarcastic

Well thats a simplistic deduction to make considering Allegri was taking over a team that had been crowned Champions multiple times while Conte took over a team that had finished 7th and was completely low on morale and confidence.

I am not denying that Conte has been average in Europe but you are giving Allegri way too much credit considering Conte had already laid down superb team for him to take over. Also the reason he could not knock out bayern was because of a tactical ****-up he made

Conte's seasons at Juve:
1st season: Champions - CL - didn't qualigy
2nd season: Champions - CL - QFs.
3rd season: Champions - CL - Group stages

So Conte's team was low on confidence when they were out in group stages is wrong. They were champions in the previous 2 seasons.

Agreed about Allegri. Taking out Morata was a costly mistake.
