I'd axe Jones and Rojo personally, keep Blind.

Jones is next to useless in terms of his injuries and in all honesty hasn't progress hardly at all because of it.

Are you trying to tell me that Conte is the better tactician?

I'm a bit late to the conversation but I don't believe that was his point. Mourinho's one of the best tacticians around, and obviously Conte isn't at that level. But the reason Chelsea fans are happier with Conte from a tactical standpoint, is because (on paper at least) he seems more flexible. During José's second spell at SW6 he became very stubborn tactically and with his team selections.

Don't think it's helped his development either that he's never had a set position at Utd.

Letting Jones go may just benefit him as it would be the ideal opportunity for him to get his career back on track (especially if a few clauses are put in the sale for United's benefit), Rojo is ok as a squad player, as is Blind, although if he was allowed to play just one position (ie DM) then he may even turn out to be a decent first team choice.

Sell Blind?! What's this madness. Blind is the most tactical flexible of all three, the most effective and the least injury phone. You've all gone mad

Conte's seasons at Juve:
1st season: Champions - CL - didn't qualigy
2nd season: Champions - CL - QFs.
3rd season: Champions - CL - Group stages

So Conte's team was low on confidence when they were out in group stages is wrong. They were champions in the previous 2 seasons.

Agreed about Allegri. Taking out Morata was a costly mistake.

So he had one decent outing and one failed outing in Europe after he had established his teams superiority domestically. That does not make him a failed tactician. I agree he has been average in Europe but Allegri had the luxury of being allowed to focus more on Europe after Conte had already made Juventus the best team in Italy by a considerable distance in the previous 3 seasons

Some report last week (Sky I think. But don't quote me. Only caught the convo in here) that had Blind and Mata as the first out of the door under Mourinho.

His flexibility is also his weak point unfortunately. What is needed is for him to be played in only one position, he did well enough at Cen Def but in my view he would be better off in front of the defence. He needs to be kept he has been consistent unlike Rojo who I don't trust in either LB or CD positions.

It was sky. But based on their so called sources and had not been found first hand anywhere else.

Knowing Mourinho I first assumed Blind would be almost perfect player for him due to his versatility and Mourinho's preference for tight squad.

Maybe but Blind has already stated that sacking LVG was bad business which won't have endeared him to Mourinho, who doesn't tend to keep players who support the previous manager generally.

Not quite true on either point, he was pointing fingers squarely at the press. Said LVG had not been treated properly last 6 months

Yeap and didn't Rooney do the same and Mourinho has no problems keeping him?

Rooney is a fave of Mourinho didn't he try to sign him in the past.

Ah but the fact Blind did say something doesn't help remember Mourinho likes to be the one giving information to the papers after all he is 'The Special One.' I personally DON'T think Blind will be on his way out, however, I don't think he will be a regular in the team especially not in defence.

He wasn't manager yet, I very much doubt he will base his decision on an interview a player he wasn't managing was free to give. It's pretty much irrelevant

It's all Irrelevant really this talk. All depends on the signings we make. If we sign 2 CBs and a CM or 2 he won't be missed. If we only sign 1 of each then we should defo keep him. If Mourinho does his usual first season job signing about 7 players I could easily see Blind, Rojo, Mata gone.

I didn't say he is a failed tactician. I said Allegri's team had confidence of being champions is a wrong argument to use as Conte's team were also champions.
