Kante has dominated a better league, with better opposition, doing it with Drinkwater. Kante was a stand out reason why Leicester won the title and Matuidi as a player isn't better. His experience and reputation is.

France havent underperformed, and they are currently on their way to the semi's with him as the lynchpin. Enjoy you ignoring the CL.

Matuidi as a player is better. You've basically just used the prem as a reason, without once mentioning how that play. Matuidi reads the game better, is tactically active (he actually shepherds Kante under France, and marshalls the midfield, hes far technically adept, not just a runner, but carries from midfield, rarely loses the ball. Can play across the midifield and in any role. He's so adept he can play on the WING, and deliver cross after accurate cross. He's in effect a midfield general.
 
For what it's worth I think Kante is very very good. But he's simple not on matuidi's level tactically, as a leader or as versatile, or experienced at the very top.

If Pogba is the raw top talent, Matuidi is the midfield boss.
 
Where Kante excels is right behind that midfield, and in that regard he's as good as Schneiderlin, arguably better, if not technically as adept. If there is any argument for Kante its between those two.

Doesn't this just sum up what I said originally, jack of all trades king of nothing player. He's not the king of everything like you seem to think because he isn't a great at anything. He's just a good, solid, flexible midfielder. Not one I think we need or a reason why I'd want him now. Kante is the better option, we can argue all night, you obviously think Matuidi is a great player who would boss PL in our midfield, I have doubts why we even need a midfielder like him when we already have Schneiderlin and a wealth of other options.

No it doesn't, because he isnt good at all these things he's excellent. He is great at everything, apart from being a playmaker, and he still creates chances. he would be hands down the best midfielder at the club.

Kante is the better option, if you have no idea about how Matuidi plays
 
I shall certainly be watching the second semi Thursday night with even more interest now reading this raging debate.

Not saying you're not entitled to you opinion, and not saying you should want him at the club. But when you compare him to Kante, your argument crumbles if i'm being blunt. You've taken one year and decide Kante is better, because you vastly overrate our league.

Watch Matuidi's role. More advanced, Kante the destroyer. If Kante pushes up, he fills in behind. One is box to box the other is a mobile destroyer

Not really, you can assess a X and Y player, even if one has been around for longer.

Plus I haven't said he is better, I've just said now he is the better option to go for taking everything into account. Also I've said that Matuidi doesn't excel in anything over Kante that stands out to me significantly enough to make me want Matuidi more.

Not really losing my **** over it, it's just annoying how over-hyped Matuidi is getting. He walks in and he is THE BEST CM AT OUR CLUB... supposedly according to tweedle dee and tweedle dum (only joking Mike and TOD). What are we basing this on is what I want to know to make such bold statement like this?

When was the last time you saw a player like Kante seemingly carry a midfield like that to Premier League title?

People are underplaying Kante last season and convenitently overplaying Matuidi. I get it that United fans are excited when we get linked to a player but we can still be realistic and not over-hype them too much.
