Think you are misunderstanding, it's more showing support for Dortmund than anything else. But fact of the matter is, they will get by like they always do, they will miss him but they will develop another player.

As zz alluded to, you need to read what he actually said mate. It wasn't any slight on the player or United. (You won't see him doing that ever unless it's a dig at Munich for obvious reasons from a man steeped in the BVB tradition. He's the complete opposite to Mourinho.).

He was paying his respects to Dortmunds continued fantastic recruitment and never really suffering from what they lose:

I don't mind if we sell Juan but £21m is a ridiculous price. I love Woodward but he needs to stop letting players go for cheap.

You have to remember that the players wages, so the fee will be lower.. we never sell players at right price but meh, we need rid.
 
Lot of betting money going on this FWIW.

His odds of going Everton are getting slashed all over.

Yes, yes it is. This club has priced John Stones at £50m, probably expects more for Lukaku and sold Fellaini to us for £27m. They're taking the ****.

Mata is slow, lightweight and very frustrating at times; but he's still a very good player who can score/create even when he's playing badly. If he goes to Everton without any CL or EL clubs trying to ****** him I'd be amazed.

Large movements are based on rumour and groundswell. Betting was once suspended on strootman to United. United at no point ever made a bid or even enquired that summer. Betting tracks movement of money. It's not a tracking of transfers. It might reflect a transfer. But it's no barometer of one.
 
£21 million is a ridiculous price for someone who featured in every single match in the league last season. If Mata has to go, the tag price should be at least £30.

That being said, i'm really curious about Everton's project. Looks like the league is about to get even tougher.
 
So it's basically a load of random twitter accounts tweeted it, based on a foreign twitter account and the papers think it's news. No one credible has actually said anything yet.
