The Manchester United Thread

Erm, ... because he's a WBA level player in disguise as a UTD player maybe?

He does a job and is happy to be there. Don't see the point in spending 20m on a player to do the exact same job, pointless.

Ballague changing his tune quick. Saying that Madrid are being priced out and will not pay what Utd is paying. And that Pogba would move to Utd. And his agent is angling for a Utd move.

Paul Pogba favours Real Madrid over Manchester United but Pogba would move. Not a single Saturday 3pm KO in MUFC's first six confirmed games. The TV companies have no consideration to fans who actually go to matches.

There's a tweet really worth posting. And having Bournemouth trail up to Utd the second Friday of the season. It get's worse by the passing year.

so if this is true why come to us just wait a season or 2 to get his dream move to real

Because he doesn't exactly hate Man Utd, and its not like Man Utd are a step down from Juventus. Maybe in terms of competitions but Man Utd can offer way more to Pogba exposure wise, which could be something that Pogba wants.

Would Madrid want to pay the fee in 2 years time even? Can't wait a season because of there transfer ban next summer. Will have to see how it plays out. I'm not 100% it will happen to us, but I believe there is a very good chance. Think Juve will sell at that price and Riola will push it for his cash and would be very hard for Pogba to turn down treble what he's earning now. It's all on him if this is to happen. He may prefer Madrid but he had said he still likes the club and has friends and family here. Also Jose will have a huge part if it goes to negotiating with Pogba.

Does anyone know who King Jonno is. Lots have told me he is very good friends with Pogba. Can someone confirm?

Doubt anyone who is truly in Pogba's inner circle will be stupid enough to comment publicly on a potential world-record transfer

Always got the impression that players like Lingard and Wilson have been afforded more time and less criticism because they came through the youth ranks under Ferguson.

When neither are anything like Utd quality football players. Or what should be.

Exactly Scouse.
At least they are happy to be there though.

Six goals for Lingard in his first full season in United's first team, including an amazing winner in the FA Cup final. His performances have been inconsistent, but overall it was a good year for him. He's not good enough to be one of the first names on the teamsheet, but he's definitely good enough to play a role at the club. It's a team game, squad players are needed, it makes absolutely no sense to sell him.

As for Wilson, he didn't really get a fair run under Van Gaal. Most of the time when he came on we were too busy defending for him to show what he offers in attack. Plenty of times he came on as a right winger too. The fact he didn't score much at Brighton is a worry, but I still think he should be loaned out (hopefully to a PL club) rather than sold yet. Will Keane is the one who should go, it's unfortunate but injuries really have ruined him.

Jose Mourinho was officially unveiled as Manchester United manager on Tuesday and the club is now delighted to confirm his backroom staff.

Six newcomers will join Mourinho in working with the first team and the existing specialist departments at the Aon Training Complex. The new arrivals are assistant manager Rui Faria, coaches Silvino Louro, Ricardo Formosinho, Carlos Lalin and Emilio Alvarez plus analyst Giovanni Cerra.

No, no, not really. Had some pretty good games over the last season, provided us some pace on the wings when we needed (tho he was pretty inconsistent, I know, and playing him as #10 was ridiculous, I know), but I still see him as a squad player. Same applies to Rojo.

Schweinstiger has been world class so far. If he can stay fit and play like this we will win more often than not. He's controlling everything.

If you want to understand why Matuidi and Kante are different players, look space behind Matuidi and Pogba.

Best get runners around him and let him sit deep like this as he's not got the legs the PL anymore if everyone's honest.

The whole German midfield has been in complete control outside the first shaky 10 mins.
