All the Italian media outlets/ back pages tomorrow are covered with the Pogba to Utd story being very close and a bid made.
Dont agree tbh. Don't think any money spent or player signed should guarentee winning the league. But we should be one of the favrs and challenging till the last game if we miss out.If Mourinho does get Pogba, not winning the title next season will be considered a failure. No two ways about it.
World record transfer fee and huge wages. Thats not to mention that he has also been backed hugely with his other signings like Ibrahimovic and Mkhitirayan and knows English league and United players very well.

I never said guarentee winning the leagye though. Just that not winning the league should be considered a failure especially as United are not even in CL next season. While I agree that the league is as tough as ever, no team has strengthened as much as United and that makes them favourites especially with Jose at the helm.

will see what happens over next couple of days. That would appear to be that then.
Juventus would be absolutely crazy to turn this ridiculous money down.
NO players worth 'keeping when it gets to stupid money like this.

I'll wait for the bid before further comment.
Laudisa who is reliable usually with Juve stuff said the bid has been made. If true there will be more news later today or tomorrow I would have thought.Oh, there's still no 'official' bid? Just more speculation of one?
Sorry, my bad. I just skimmed over the posts/ tweets.
Ignore me.

They are still in Europe like in arguably the much harder, longer competition.
Longer yes but they should be able to see off most of the teams they face there easily. Also there is no guarentee they will even take it seriously. Many EPL clubs did not.
The groups are weaker. But it's getting back to being what the UEFA Cup used to be most years. The stronger competition when it comes to straight knockout European football. Add the Champs League teams that drop down to the big clubs already in the completion and it gets mighty tough to win.
Absolute disgrace if Utd don't take it seriousy. But that's another story and a continued black mark on English football in general.

Europa League is another way into CL be silly if we didn't, always nice for a fallback option. Admittedly I hope we won't have that issue of not being in top 4 this season but it's always possible.

Plus there's the added incentive of winning all three European majors for Utd. And not to mention you always want to keep your coefficient high. Another bad season and you're suddenly risking dropping into lower pots and a harder draw when you are back in the Champions League.
Fantasic competition. Never understand the recent English attitude toward it on any level.
