The Manchester United Thread

On that, interesting there's no James Wilson.

Prehaps Mourinho has quickly assessed what I've always thought. There's little there in his game that would separate him at the top level. Lad we've just somehow gotten £4 million for from Watford is exactly the same. Jerome Sinclair. Great at youth level. Has nothing to separate himself from PL defenders. He doesn't even bend his runs in behind. You need more.

I guess you could try another loan this year for Wilson being as he's still 20 somewhere where he'd play but if there's still no improvement by next summer then it'd be time to let that one go.

If it isn't already.

I'd send him on another loan, but there is no reason for him to be in the main squad. Rashford is at least 2 steps ahead of him, and he's arguably the "weakest" of the 3 forwards

Romano and Di Marzio both say Pogba has been offered a contract of around £250,000 a week by Manchester Utd. He has agreed terms.

Our wage budget must be exploding right now. We have like 6 players on the team earning £200000 p/w on the team.

I think I read somewhere our wage bill is suppose to be one of the best in terms of our turn over. We are fine we shipped off a load in wages over the last few seasons also.

Ducker reporting that Wilson, Keane, Blackett told they can leave. Not surprised really. Well a bit about Wilson thought a loan would be better, but Zlatan, Rooney, Martial, Rashford can't see him getting much game time anytime soon.

But to be blatently honest, Manchester United are probably the biggest football club in the world in terms of followers & revenue. The merchandise/jerseys sold, sponsorship deals (the lucrative Adidas deal springs to mind right away) etc, they're just a mega footballing franchise... and although would appear monsterous wages that would set any club back, Manchester United can dish this type of wage out for a handful of players as comfortable if it were me or you debating whether or not we should break a 20 note for a take-away (although the latter is not not always comfortable hahaha)

I completely agree on blackett.

Not sure how Will Keane remained an official Manchester United player for so long, has never looked anything better than average since stepping up to senior level, he was at QPR for a while on loan a season or 2 back and he was woeful there (mate of mine supports them so was kept up to date)

Although wasn't Wilson pretty good for Brighton last season? I would've sent him out somewhere else to see how he'd do this season as a "Score double figure goals for them or your days are numbered here" sort of thing..

Haha!...Riola said the pogba rumors are all bollocks.

He didn't say that. He said Juve would like to offer him a new contract. He is on holiday till 6th of August. Then refused to answer questions of a bid or meeting today saying that is a question you have to ask Utd.

“All of what you read is bulls--t,” Mino Raiola, Pogba's agent told Kris Voakes of Goal.com regarding reports he met with Manchester United regarding a potential transfer. “That’s all there is.”

Lol goal.com! This is from SSN who interviewed him like 10 mins ago

Sky Sports News HQ have an update on the future of Paul Pogba, following Sky in Italy's report that Man Utd are close to making an official offer for the Juventus midfielder.

SSN HQ reporter Paul Gilmour has spoken via FaceTime to Pogba's agent Mino Raiola, who wanted to prove he is not in Manchester for transfer talks, as reported by national newspapers this morning. He is in Empoli in Italy, and says Pogba will remain on holiday until August 6.

Raiola also said Juve want to renew Pogba's contract, and refused to address speculation linking Man Utd with a bid for his player. He also refused to say whether Pogba had agreed personal terms with United, as previously reported by Italian papers.......

Di Marzio says this tug of war has been going on for 20 days between Juve and Raiola. Pogba will have to ask for a transfer himself. After agreeing terms with Utd.
