Sky in Italy: Manchester United have met Juventus & made opening offer of £85m for Paul Pogba. Juve want £100m. Pogba leaning towards United

For anyone wanting the more accurate sterling figures, deal may reach £100m, that's what Juve have negotiated. Our original offer £85m.

Good job we have Richard Branson, his virgin money can be used for something.

Just going to post that, beat me to it, that basically is the huge part of this deal (aside from the money). This means that Juventus will sell for sure.

If Pogba has said he wants to leave (and I'd still like to hear more sources) that's surely it.

Pogba has achieved more than Bale had when he went for the record price, there's a certain amount of snobbery surrounding him.

Front page on a few Italian papers tomorrow that Pogba has officially asked to leave, including Gazzetta Della Sport or however you say it.

But that guy TOD posted who originally posted it is very good when it comes to Juventus.

The snobbery is not without good reason though. Pogba achieved more also because he played in better teams (France and Juventus) in a much weaker league.

Yeah there's been more than enough people say it now. Expect it to be announced that Juve have excepted tomorrow night or Friday.

Pogba's own performances, including those in the CL have been far more consistent over 4 years than Bale's. Italy is also hardly a much weaker league.

The point about Pogba would be more salient, if it wasnt for the fact he's been part of the driving force behind their achievements.
