Valencia out for 6-8 weeks with his broken arm. Not to fussed as with regular game time Darmian will show his class.

Might be a blessing in a way as we could see TFM getting some game time out of Valencia's injury

True, still like to see him in more of a DM role myself, behind Herrera and Pogba. The role Carrick plays almost as an enforcer.

Would love to see him in that role as well, could be amazing, pace, tackling and vision. Just can't see him getting ahead of Carrick and, I can't believe I am saying this.... Fellaini...

The more you slide, and the more desperate he get's, the less chance you have of Jose turning to any youth.

It's never been his MO to start with and he'll continue to lean on veteran experience to start moving the other direction.

Happy Halloween to those who celebrate it, I doubt no matter where you'll be, whatever costumes you'll see, or whichever movies you watch, you'll not see anything scarier than this:

****** ****, looks like he's been sleeping under a bridge! All those millions have certainly not been spent on his looks

Ultimately no we can all give excuses, football is a winning game at the end of the day, doesn't matter how you do it if it gets the points. I still don't think Europa League helps at all, 1 point in 9 after Europa League fixture. Yes that's another excuse I'm throwing in but it got me thinking. Going all the way to Turkey on Thursday and then expected to play again on Sunday at Swansea, it is bound to have an effect on the players. Compare that to yourselves, Chelsea and Leicester last year having a full week to prepare for each game virtually every week. *insertnextexcuseherebutIjustthoughtIwouldthrowthemintomakemefeelbetter*

I dont get what the big deal is about playing on a Thursday and a Sunday. Its no different to being in the Champions League and playing away in Turkey on Wednesday then going to Swansea on Saturday.

And then in the next breath it's 'We HAVE to make the top 4!'

If anyone is this worried that your squad can't cope with Europa League football, whatever makes them think it would with the higher intensity of Champions League football?

I think he'd play Young first rather than TFM. Even though that goes against what he said in pre-season about only having specialists for his positions.

Young plays off the left not right. And when we have needed someone at RB TFM has been called up, even ahead of Darmian at times.

Young can play both sides. A lot of the time when he's played he's been on the right with Valencia and they both cover each other when needed.

In other news, what's everyone's thoughts on Schweinsteiger back training with the first team? Is there the tiniest of chances that one of the shocks of the season could see him in the 18 man squad away to Swansea on Saturday? With Herrera banned, Fellaini unsuited to the ball playing holding role (especially if not in a 3 man midfield, and I think Jose knows that now), and Carrick likely to be played for the full 90 on Thursday night, is this a possible shock opportunity? Or am I looking into it too much?

It would make some headlines.

Would not be against him coming back into the squad. But be very surprised if he's anywhere near fit to play any mins atm.
