The Manchester United Thread

That looks like players are being instructed to take a lot of unprepared shots because Mourinho got ordered to play offensive football.
We are 3rd in the league in terms of clear cut chances created

So basically anyone who starts moaning about not scroing in fm while having changes should look at United as example it can happen.

Be nice for you if if Axel was pulled tonight for Wednesday but with the current manager the chances of that are sadly slim.

*Edit* Didn't realise Chelsea drew at City Sat'day. Excellent. Looking at either 2nd or joint-top (if Everton lose at Southampton), with a win over Derby tonight.
It was actually Mourinho who had discussions about Tuanzebe. And was one of the first things they discussed giving Tuanzebe a long term deal. With a view to him being a member of the first team next season. Will have to wait and see. **** has said in numerous interviews on MUTV that he is in constant talks and getting updates about the current talent coming through the club. And there progress. McKenna heavily involved in these talks also.

This made me chuckle;

The top 4 keepers in world football at the moment.....

^^^^^ 4. ARSENAL.

LMAO. On your head be it man. They're starting to get real touchy about that now haha.

So the FA charge people that kick bottles now?

Were you that surprised when they did Wenger for the same at Old Trafford a few years back?

He had a hissy fit. Over a dive. In a game against West Ham! I'd be more concerned at the manager losing it and feeling the pressure than anything else.

Klopp kicked a water bottle and screamed "are you ******* kidding me" at a fourth official.

Conte did the same.

I assume we are agreeing they both had hissy fits?

Jose has his behavioural flaws but I invite anyone to tell me how 3 identical scenarios can result in 2 being lauded, and one being carded, and then be able to defend it without sounding like a hypocrite.

Behave. Identical scenarios. Where did water bottle go flying down the touchline in the two other two games?

Where did you see either forcibly booting a water bottle in temper like that?

And for the record, I think it's silly that frustrations can't come out. But the rules are the rules and the FA are consistent on that.

Ask Wenger.

Klopp's had quite a few touchline bans in Germany if I'm not wrong?

Which is fine. **** happens. You lose it in the moment. You accept the punishment. There's an oft used giff of Klopp going ballistic the official and having a major hissy fit for Dortmund at Napoli for example. I don't know if he got punished for it. Presume he did being UEFA. Hope he did because it was absolutely scandalous and over stepping the line. Sure he was accepting if it came his way when everything had calmed down.

Mourinho's not being singled out here at all for anything other than over stepping the allowed mark.

If I remember correctly did the FA not write a letter and apologise to Wenger after his charge, which was a complete joke!

  • Varun said:
Didnt they say they'd apologise to Wenger for doing exactly the same thing?
    Yup

Agreed. Didn't know they'd quashed that. Apologies to the other poster. That is a joke.

But the rules have tightened up since then and every manager knows there's a line that you're running the risk of repercussions if you cross it.

Klopp hammered one this season and then swore at the official, so did Conte

My issue isnt him getting banned, my issue is the bullshit inconsistency.

There hasnt been a crackdown this season, they are just a mess. He's got every right to be ******

When? Genuinely missing this/ not remembering it. Can't speak for Conte, but when did Klopp boot a water bottle or anything like that this year?

Finished 2-2 against Reading u23s. Very good first half. Then most the lads stayed in the changing room second half. Stand out performers Harrop, Tuanzebe and Gribbin was my MOTM. Harrop got both and Gribbin with the assists. He really opened Reading up with ease, also showed great work rate tracking back.

Yeah the only annoying thing is the inconsistency. Nothing against Klopp at all, but if what everyone is saying is true, and he swore at the fourth official on Saturday, then he should've been punished as David Moyes was for swearing at an official against Southampton. If Conte kicked a water bottle at some point this season, then he should've been punished as Mourinho was (even if I don't agree with it).

The rules need to be the rules for all.

The press and pundits call it passion for when those 2 did it. Mou does it and he's out of line and losing the plot.
