Huh? If you're good enough to get to the final, and if we're good enough, then we'll see you at the last hurdle.
The exact definition of a *****.

I don't understand your logic at all, and would appreciate if you didn't behave so aggressively over nothing. What's the difference between playing us in the semi and playing us in the final? Barring the fact that we would give the country what they want to see if it's the latter.
A third straight League Cup final defeat to L'pool?
Good point. I think everyone would be happy with that..
Just watching the Saints game. There playing really well, and there pressing is right up there. Boufal looks a player and Long will cause any defence trouble. Will be tough game.Haha, that's more like it. I see absolutely no downfall to a final being contested between the two biggest clubs in England, on the biggest stage in England, MONTHS BEFORE THE SEASON FINISHES. Separates the men from the boys in my eyes, go big or go home. Can see no reason why that fella's so narked tbh.
Edit: I'm talking as if Hull & Southampton have sent in a white flag each haha, you know what I mean. Shouldn't be taken too lightly, but should be beaten.

Even zz might well turn face and be all over this one ......
I figured there would be a discrepancy between our results with/without him but had no idea the stats would be as extreme as this:
This season
Games with Carrick in starting line up:
W8 D1 L0
Games without Carrick in starting line up:
W4 D4 L5
Last season we won 37.5% of our PL games without him and 72.2% when he started. Key area for us this summer!
..... It's a nice headache to have, but I really do think we're much fluent and look a much more dangerous outfit with 4 forwards on the pitch and much more ruthless when Mkhitaryan's one of them.
Moreso to beat you than winning the competition if I'm honest.....
The problem with Schniederlin imo is I don't think he's disciplined enough to play the Carrick role. Yes he can tackle good and has a good engine. But I've watched a lot of last seasons games, and he would often lose his positioning screening the back 4. At Saints it wasn't a problem as he had Wanyama playing as DM. Think Schniederlin is more BTB than a DLP or DM. And his passing is ok but not great. And when pressed high he loses the bell often in tight spaces.I didn't watch the game yesterday because, well, there's no mood in Brazil for football this weekend. But i'm really surprised that Schweinsteiger actually played as a sub.
Also, hopefully Mikh and Martial will be more envolved in the matches after those good performances.
The thing that bugs me, tho, is the freezin' of Schneiderlin. He has good pass, he's a good tackler and with the right orientation, he could be key to us. Carrick can't play every game and Fellaini isn't fit for that role.
Totally agree with you on this one and personally I wouldn't be surprised if Schniederlin leaves either in January (if there is a good enough offer put on the table) or at the end of the season. Mourinho has had the chance to look over the squad and clearly sees something is missing from the play of Schniederlin. Meanwhile it is also clear that Mikh was not left out due to a fall out more a case of easing the player into the set up after all he struggled in his first season at his previous clubs. The problem with Schniederlin imo is I don't think he's disciplined enough to play the Carrick role. I hate this prospect you know. A L'pool- Utd final. Which all things being equal it now is.
The whole day is just one on constant edge. The potential for aggro is around every corner before you've even gotten in the stadium. You're a bag of nerves regardless because it's Utd and you don't want to lose face. Both teams are normally the same when we've met in big semis/ finals over the years and they're invariably nervy, ***** games. You can't enjoy the day until the final whistle's gone, you've won, and you're safely on the way home. And if you are on the losing end to the eternal enemy it's the worst journey home ever.
Just ruins the whole final experience.
