Have you ever thought Ferguson handpicked Moyes because he wanted him to fail, what better a scapegoat than a fellow Scot, from a mid-table team who wouldn't realise he was set up to fail from the start. Fergie was a sneaky ****** at times you only need to look at the way certain players were driven out or how he used mindgames at times to upset the other team/managers. I'm not saying that's the case but, after all the squad he left behind was not only aging but probably the worst one he had managed in his time at United.
That was what I was alluding to what many people would say by 'protecting his legacy.'
But that would infer he cared more about that than Utd and as he's a bonafide Utd legend it wouldn't be right to do that so it's best left there.
