The Manchester United Thread

Been good and looking lively since coming back from injury. His assist in there last game was top class!

I keep reading this in here but we've played them twice the last two months and the Sunderland lads talking leading upto both games have been saying the opposite of him and his usual lack of application FWIW.

Meanwhile at the Etihad: Fernandinho is off after he attempted a two-footed sliding tackle on Gudmundsson's neck!

****** hope they drop points there...

COME ON BURNLEY! :D

Lad was on the ground like. But Fernandinho wasn't. Rojo style. They have both Silva and Augero on HT.

*Edit* Sorry, he was upright. Mustn't of been concentrating the green HT. But two footed, off the ground. Reckless. Deserved red.

Yeah seen a few saying that on there Forums, but tbh they've pretty much slagged off all there players. He's not been on fire, but he's definitely trying to make things happen and could of had a few more assists. One thing I have noticed in his loan spell is his improved defencive work rate.

TEAM NEWS FOR UNITED
Jose Mourinho has made five changes to his starting XI for this match, with Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian, Michael Carrick and Jesse Lingard all coming back into the team. Here is the squad in full...

CONGRATULATIONS, DAVID!
Our Spanish number one, David De Gea, will register his 250th appearance for Manchester United today. A great achievement!

Scouse, you will love the Aguero goal.. (Sterling makes a right bell end of himself) before KUN genius.

Happy with that team, good balance. A mixture of pace, power and movement in the front 3, with match winners on the bench to change the game if needed.

Only slight worry would be Antonio v Darmian, Matteo seems to struggle against powerful/pacey players, as we saw when Sissoko was matched up against him last month (hope it was just one of those). Keep Antonio and the big man up top quiet, and just do your business at the other end.

Come on United!

EDIT: Just seen the West Ham line-up, no Andy Carroll - surprised there. Thought they would've tried to let him try give Jones & Rojo a long evening, with Antonio on the right... but nope, Antonio up top, and big Andy on the bench.

Capitalise on this now they're down to 10 men! Great opportunity.

I was thinking "Who the f*** is he sending off????" - a 50/50 challenge, no studs.

What utter bollocks.

You red the West Ham lad you red Jones. Both dive in exactly the same.

**** off Dean. Bookings at worst.

This is an unusual defensive shape West Ham have when United on the ball, a high back-line with a deep midfield line, so congested, literally no space between the lines.

What's the difference in that from Lingaard to the other challenge Dean?

Yellow cards on both and no more.

We've had our fair share of bad luck and wrong calls this season, I know it doesn't justify it but got to capitalise on this when some good fortune goes our way.
