The Manchester United Thread

At this point in time, I'd say **** the league and focus on winning the europa. Who agrees?

Shaw: "I'm keeping my head up & going to fight to the last. I'm not going to give up. I love this club & I'll give everything to be here."

Shaw: "Like Jose said, he wants to see me fighting - and I'll fight to the last second because I want to be here for the club."

Shaw: "I want to play for the manager & I want to help this team get back to the top. I want this so badly, I want to prove everyone wrong"

Also seems Carrick is close to extending his contract, think that could mean we're not getting a new central mid this summer?

Definitely doesn't mean that. There's a reason Schneiderlin & Schweinsteiger were let go so easy. Carrick will just be rotational again next season, probably even less games. No chance Mourinho will settle for Fellaini as his sole senior option as cover for Herrera/Pogba. Wouldn't be surprised to see Mourinho sign one of the few available upgrades you can get for Herrera. Really think he'll try take the bull by the horns next season, even heavier than last summer.

**** move whatever way you cut it.

Do it behind closed doors to me if you have a problem. Do it in public, and your respect has gone. Do it to one of my teammates in public, and that respect is on the slippery slope.

Tbf that's 4 managers who have publicly spoken about Shaw. He's trying to find a way to get through to him. Better he tries everything than let him list till the summer and sell him. The lad can go all the way.

not sure if its been covered but lots of talk regarding alexis sanchez being contacted by mourinho over a possible move.Thoughts?

Not too bothered either way. We've got the lowest wages to turnover ratio in the league. Not expensive but not cheap either. He's not awful and not a world. Good wage for a good player.

Great news, perfect squad player for us?
Yep very happy. Echo Mikes post really. If the wage is true, I won't be surprised as transfer fees and wages have gone through the roof the last few seasons. It's about right for a squad player at a top club. Hopefully Carrick, Herrera, Rojo, Pereira are next :)

As for Sanchez I wouldn't rule it out completely. But I would surprised if Wenger sold to Mourinho and he seems keen to stay in London.

ive been really surprised so many pundits naming rojo as one of those certain to leave in summer.Hes out performed jones and smalling imo and should be kept but lets see

I'd keep Rojo and bin Jones and Smalling. Funny how things change.

I can't see Rojo going. He's been fantastic under Mourinho, except a few poor challenges. And Ducker said on Utd in press about 4 weeks ago that the club will be looking at tying Rojo and Herrera down to new deals in the Summer. Periera as well.
