This is why I want Griezmann. You can play him anywhere, wide, alongside Rashford, behind Rashford. Obviously a much better player, but their type of play; energetic, running, fearless, get behind the defence way are similar. You can have him and still play Rashford up front. Love Zlatan, but only one way you can play him. Rashford can't play 50 games next season, unfair to burn him out that way, but he's an absolute first teamer now

Very good away European display but you're left wondering whether Utd will regret only getting the 1? These lack pace but look dangerous on the break with a bit more composure.

Finely balanced tie. Enjoyed that. Interesting second leg.
 
Lovely! Better team and should of scored more. Great goal by Rashford. Pogba my MOTM. Romero solid as always and Darmian was good also. Can't see Celta getting back into this they look shot after the goal!
 
You can clearly see Aspas was Liverpool player once.

Solid win, should've been more. Now play with the kids against Arsenal and show middle finger to FA. It's not going to happen, but one can dream.

Good performance but expected better from Celta to be honest, also can Lingard only score at Wembley as the number of absolute sitters he has missed is rising

Yeh, that's my issue really, when we went 1 up why did we sit so deep inviting them to score almost? Maybe team just knackered. We've done it quite a few times this season after taking a lead and it has cost us with the oppo scoring an equaliser.

But anyway, 1-0 is still a good result.
 
Yeah, good result but strange tactics. Why park the bus when you're a better team? Even if they equalize that's still a good result, while 2-0 would have kill the tie. Worth a gamble I think.

Instead you'll have a **** clencher of a rematch next week. Celta haven't been amazing but it's a knock out tie and anything can happen.
 
Fellaini tho... I almost hoped he'd get a 2nd yellow there in the end so we can't play him next game or if we get to the final either.. :(

Knackered, didnt want to risk losing more players i suspect. Tie should have been over before Rashford scored in truth. Rotate against Arsenal, start fast next week, and hopefully go to teh final
 
I reckon come the Arsenal game we may see Tuanzebe, Fosu-Mensah and A N Other from the reserves against Arsenal, the rest of the squad will be the usual suspects. Jose may say he's going to play the youngsters as the league is no longer the priority but he isn't going to give up on that 4th place whilst it is still possible to claim it. Tuanzebe and FM have been in and around the first team squad for most of the season so clearly giving them a chance makes sense but we aren't going to see wholesale changes.

Think we will see Smalling and Jones. TFM still injured for season. Talk Sport was great this morning! Custis saying it was a great free kick and Wilkins saying it was poor and keeper should have saved it with his teeth. Next thing you know insults and a massive argument insue :)

Fellaini was alright, but he could of easily of been sent off again, so he's just a liability once again. How he didn't get that second yellow I'll never know, some intentional fouls he somehow got away with.
 
Think we're just gonna have to get use to Fellaini. Moyes likes him and what he brings and can't see many being sold this Summer. We will keep a few who are happy to be squad players most probably like Young, Fellaini maybe Darmian. And just add to the starting 11 with quality starter signings.
 
Jose Mourinho saying Joel Periera will be the best Portuguese GK of his generation. High praise no doubt. He's been fantastic at all levels including international youth level. Had a great loan spell at Belenese this year! No doubt he will make it here as No1 or 2.
 
Trying to think of a real top class Portuguese 'keeper like ever?

Vitor Baia I guess is the closest shout. Like Brazil, Portugal just don't do goalies.
