Thats 7 changes and still be more than good enough to beat Arsenal. Injuries should not be an excuse atm now Mata, Pogba, Smalling, Jones are all back. Fatigue could be for some players maybe Valencia, Herrera. But squad is big enough to still challenge on both fronts.
 
Not a chance you play Herrera and Valencia. Especially the latter
 
He should play the kids and rest everybody for the Celta game. Question is if he can look past his hate ***** for WEnger.

They were fantastic against Lyon. Some of the best football I've seen in a long while. Energy, Movement, Passing, Technique, Pressing. Was a joy to watch. And if we get to the final it won't be a walk over that's for sure.
 
ajax are a good side but im struggling to see them beating us if im honest.if we play well they lose imo

I agree if we play well we should beat them. But if we are off our game just a bit they will punish us. People were expecting Lyon to trounce them over 2 legs.

I bet the good folk of Stockholm are praying either Lyon or Celta turn that around.

Ajax and Utd is NOT a good mix and has history. And AIK are just a bunch of ****** who frigging hate everyone.

my worst ever experience at a game was with feyenoord fans so yeah you could be right mate
 
It's not rocket science, you have two campaigns, Premier League and Europa League, and you can only keep your best players fresh for one.

In the Prem you are behind on points, behind on goal difference, and have an awful fixture list with Arsenal/Spurs away and Big Sam's Palace in the last game, which is never an easy win. In Europa League you have teams that you should be comfortably beating , bar something unexpected like a 10 minute red card or whatever.

Plus it's always better to get to Champions League via winning a nice trophy.

As I understand it from a sound Utd mate I used to work with, that's the only trip this year that's been really naughty. Even Fenerbache was relatively peaceful bar a few of your young lads being dicks. But Feyenoord are horrible twats who don't like anyone as you can attest to so that's no surprise. Been Eindhoven, Utrecht and Arnhem with L'pool and every time Feyenoord have tipped up and had it with the PSV, Utrecht and Vitesse lads with no interest in ourselves. Madness and the last thing you need going on.

Ajax- Utd isn't a good recipe.
