The Manchester United Thread

I think under Mourinho we may benefit from a more commanding goalkeeper anyway, although De Gea is a massive loss no matter how you look at it.

I thought it was just the usual rumors at this time of season and thought he would stay, but given how he's not playing the last few league games I do find it a bit odd.

To sell him I'd be looking at £50m minimum. If we can get any players coming the other way which is unlikely I'd like Varane more than anyone in their team.

I'd be very disappointed if James was the the player in a compromise for DDG tbh, as we could get James pretty comfortably if the recent rumours are anything to go by, without using our leverage. We should exploit their obsession with De Gea by testing them with Varane, Bale, Morata, etc.

If we win the Europa League, he's gonna stay.
Highley unlikely as he's not been playing in it and not likely to be in the squad for the final or the remaining games of the season. Think it's already decided tbh and why Mourinho has no longer included him.

I agree with what most have said of trying to get Varane, Bale, Morata in some sort of deal.

Why in the ******* **** would anyone want Varane? He has worse injury record than Smalling and Jones combined.

I don't think he will be the permanent No 1, just as long as the club don't sign Hart now that would be a step down even Torino sources say he is overrated.

What? so not an opinion based on what you've actually seen him do in the Prem for nearly 10 years+.. lol. superb.

If he's not at the least on the bench the final, let alone not in the squad; that just reinforces what an absolute ***** your current manager is.

That would be bitterness and then some. And given all de Gea's mates the dressing room, would be sending out a terrible sign to the rest of the group.

I've never rated him, he makes to many mistakes even when not under pressure, and I know many City fans who are glad to see the back of him for the very same reason. He's a liability imho and I honestly think if Butland hadn't got injured last season he would have replaced him as England No1. I would love to see Donnarumma at the club but now he is established as AC Milian's No1 it isn't going to happened.

Much better.. sorry just seemed funny to quote the 'Torino Sources' to me when you have clearly seen him alot.. :)

I think behind a Mourinho setup team he'd be a bargain at the 15-20mil fee most are looking at for a HG player.

If he and Mourinho have agreed that he's leaving then can't see it being a problem. We don't know what's happened or going to happen. He's not gonna play either way being in the squad or not.

One would think not. But now he's changed his agent to that A1 ******** Raiola, who Utd seem set on making one of the wealthiest guys the World over by themselves; I am not as convinced his long-term future will be at Milan.

You don't see that as 'being a problem' whilst he's still a Utd player?

Seriously? It'd be a c*nts trick and then some. Nice thank you to de Gea for all he's saved Utd his time there. It's bad enough that he's created the situation by playing Romero through the knock-outs to be left with not starting Utds best option, de Gea, the final that he's put EVERYTHING on. To not have him involved at all would be a disgrace.

I'd be lived on both counts if I were invested as a supporter but that's just me.

IF they've sat down and talked and both agreed to a move that DDG wants. Then no I can't see it being a problem DDG wants the move, Mourinho won't stop him. No reason for anyone to be ******.

And as for Romero starting the EL that's the managers choice to use his squad. Romero has paid him back and been fantastic in the competition. We won't be the first or last club to use our second choice players in cup comps. But like you said that's you.

Reminder to my self, dont argue about football.

Yeah as soon as he changed agent spelled trouble and while Berlusconi and Galliani had good relationship with him don't know about the new Milan leadership. I still believe he will stay at Milan as they are showing good amount of ambition on transfer market now and I think they will be up there competing for CL place next season and Scudetto in next 2-3 years.

Losing Donnarumma while a blow, wouldnt be end of the world stuff for Milan as they have Plizzari coming up who's as highly rated as Donnarumma.

What do you guys think about the Extended contract to Carrick?
Personally I'm glad if it happens, means Fellaini could be the one leaving instead!
