Think baines deal will be done soon wants him signed by the time they go on tour 17/18 this month but just rumours like people saying, plus we have fryers and vermijl plus giverin who can all play at LB and did very well in reserve success last year!

If you got them both though, that would cost us our gaffer, who has already that he wanted assurances he wouldn't have to cash in on prize assets to bring new faces in. And already that looks like another promise broken. 1 key player bad enough, 2 players-unacceptable. So you can see why I'm very firmly against that thought lol.

Saying all that though, Leighton himself admitted he may have to be sold anyway. Which is pretty much why I'm certain it's pretty much a question now of when not if

Rather Fellaini than Baines. We can sign some back up leftback from somewhere else but getting good CM looks impossible job for us, lol. It's been close to 5 years but we didn't address this issue.

I believe we are interested in Modric but if Madrid are involved then thats it.

I just think we will sign player whom media haven't linked us with.

Mark Hughes. SAF often prefers to use his former players to mentor the younger players, although I am certain he has a very good relationship with Moyes too. Perhaps he has enquired about Baines and he won't be leaving Everton? I hope that's the case, but with Fabio leaving we must have plans to sign another left back.

I've been thinking of the players that I'd like to see at United, and the more I think about it, the more I want Moutinho. And £25m would be a good deal for a 25 year old of his ability coming into his peak imo.

I'd hope we are looking at Moutinho/Sahin/De Rossi/Thiago but I think we will be priced out of a deal for Modric.

I suspect Fergie would've made a move for Rodwell-but with his fitness problems I doubt that's happening any time soon. Personally, SAF should get Modric. He's just such a fantastic player and if he didn't at least try to get him I'd be very surprised.

Yeah thought crossed my mind a few minutes ago. Wouldn't have let him go unless he was certain of a replacement.

But I dont think Hughes and SAF relationship is not that good, even I go as far as say it is bit bad.

De Rossi would be dream signing though, what a player he is, will solve our midfield problem easily.

Yeah think modric will be to much but the rest are possible imo!

I think he will use reserve player as back up and spend cash on CM we have some really promising FB in reserve squad that all played well in them winning titles last season, this is if we dont get baines coz not to many quality LB out there.
 
All this talk talk of Modric and Moutinho is well and good but we need some sort of Ball-Winner/Destroyer in midfield as a first priority. Without Fletcher, our midfield lacks bite.

Not only that, you are working with one of the best managers to ever grace the game in Fergie.

AVB is not even there yet, not only that Daniel Levy has been brilliant with keeping players thus far, if they keep Modric then they will not go for Moutinho and I would be very disappointed if Fergie has not noticed Moutinho before this Euro's, I doubt there is any real interest from us.
