If Griezmann isn't coming this summer I think we'll never get him, we can't build/prepare a team for another season around Griezmann :(

Dont worry about Griezmann mate. If he was willing to move this Summer I'm sure he will want to come next season or not. A new contract won't change that. If what the Atletico journo reported is true. Griezmann rang Mourinho and told him he was staying and Mou understood, due to the situation. Money won't be a problem signing him in Jan or next Summer.
 
Jeez he's still only 24, never realised that, you have a striker for a good possible 8-9 seasons at prime there. That changes my perspective on how much we should pay in this market.

Only thing that I'm slightly questioning is why Milan have only bid £39m for Belotti!

Initial bid and that was without the usual bonus payments. Torino also have a selection of players to choose from who they'd like as part exchange.

I'd happily pay £60m for Belotti, but if we get Morata I won't mind too much. I just feel Mourinho utilises target man best in his system, Belotti more fits that and he has the movement that someone like Zlatan at the age he is now, doesnn't.

theres is a clause in his contact a Torino fan told me. That clubs outside Italy will be charged the release clause. Belotti doesn't fit Mourinho style at all tbh. His hold up play is Lukaku standard and his movement ain't that great either. Moratta on the other hand is perfect for Mou.

Considering Morata's wage will be a lot less than Zlatan's reported wage as well, it makes sense.

He's coming back from a major injury and this will be his last season with us regardless. He will only be available for half the season and his wage is too astronomical for that to be a risk we should take.

Only thing I would say though is that we can only allow Zlatan to go as long as we 100% bring in a striker. Would be disastrous if we let him go and then didn't get any of our top striker targets.

Yeah the lay off and paying him a huge amount to miss half the season would seem to be a bad idea. But as money ain't a problem and he could be huge to have in the run in, can see both sides. Be good if he agreed to a pay as you play till the end of the season.

But cant see the club letting him go without being confident of having a replacement pretty close to signing. Be happy with new ST, Rashford, Martial as options next season.
 
Morata ain't movin' unless it's to Chelsea, IMO.He did an interview a month or so ago prasing Conte as the Manager who trusted him(it was Conte who signed him, not Allegri).
Why aren't Chelsea renewing Costa?

Because they're days away from signing Lukaku.

He obviously is interested because he's been speaking with Jose and Madrid are willing to sell.
