The Manchester United Thread

Shaw needs to come back on that left position. That or we get a new left back. Needed more dynamism there. You need thrust from either a left winger or a left back

I know it's hypothetical now, but we should of really got Modric long before Madrid did. That barron spell where we didn't address the midfield under Fergie, we missed out on a lot of great players.
No value mate :O some of the players we missed out on Hazard, Vidal, Oscar, Modric sure there's a few others can't remember off the top of my head. Moyes tried chasing unrealistic targets. LVG tried signing the wrong players. Least under Mourinho we can see a proper actual team being built and key areas being addressed. Not quite there yet but not far off from being a great team.

Honestly, in hindsight, I think i criticised lindelof a bit unfairly.

I sat down at work thinking about the old days with Pallister and remembered how much he struggled initially. I also remembered how **** evra looked at first. He got beat so easily in 1v1s, didn't track his runner, always caught out of position. So I remember all of that and I ask myself "maybe I have been harsh on the lad"

He struggled against the best team in the world who seemed to target his side for most of the match. I looked at the heat map for the entire match and noticed that pattern on the right side where lindelof was at. He had isco, bale (who was supposed to be a right winger btw), benzema and Marcelo coming at him. No shame to struggle against these world class players.

I'm willing to give him more time but with the increased pressure to perform with our title aspirations, he may not get more time.

Funny you mention that tbh. Was talking about Pallister today with a mate at work, said pretty much what you just said. Watched a few old VCR reviews and Pallister was all over the shop at the start of his career.

They definately target his side yesterday. There was a few times he did well when one on one with Bale. After seeing the match again didn't notice any mistakes aerial wise. Got caught out most with quick movement/runners and people drifting in behind. That can be cured easy with better communication with the FB and a bit more time with the team.

Felt a lot of fans were harsh on him for the first goal, considering he was in line with the rest of the back 4. Can't help the offside goal stood. Also noticed after seeing the match and various replays. That Isco actually clipped Matic after the one two with Bale, hence why Matic fell over instead of following Isco run.

About 2% of the shares in the club, not a huge amount but, they do seem more interested in selling than they have been before

Think it's the 3 children that aren't so interested. That's what I've read a few places.
Yeah he had five kids and think there is a split between what they all want to do with the shares, just hope we don't end up with them selling off bit by bit to a number of different people and leaving us with a bunch of people owning small chunks of the club none of whom will invest in it as they won't get their money back

Simon Stone @sistoney67

4.25m @ManUtd shares to be sold by the Glazer family. At today's rates is worth over £50m. Is just less than 2% of overall stake.

Only fools, which accounts for most L'pool fans on social media, ever thought it was.

Presume Dembele is looking positive then?
