I was hoping that the Javi Martinez & Iker Munian stories would be true..

Do a nice combined £45m or so deal for them both like PSG did with AC for Zlats/Silva!

Difference is that Athletic are not looking to sell as Milan were. Zlatan was offered 6m contract extension, but he rejected it so it meant he needed to be sold. I believe PSG weren't that interested unless Thiago Silva came in aswell.

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed making a bid for Arsenal captain Robin van Persie.


The Gunners' skipper has refused to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium and is also said to be interesting Juventus and Manchester City.


"Obviously Arsenal have given out the fact that we've made a bid for him," the manager told MUTV.


"We try to keep business as close as possible to us until the moment we conclude a deal. There's no point talking about something that might not happen.


"There are other clubs interested in the player. We've shown an interest and that's where we're at at the moment."

Great sit down with Fergie. Worth waiting for. He looks totally releaxed. Looks like he's got everything under control.

Fergie is trying to buy - Baines, RVP, Lucas. But it won't bother him if he doesn't. Won't pay above the odds.

Looks like we will make another improved bid but not that will make Arsenal to accept it IMO.

This is the first season out of the last 8 that RVP has played more than 30 Prem games and the first season that he has scored more than 20 goals. He had an awesome season but just one season. No way we should be buying him ahead of a CM.

Agree dont think RVP is what we need but if he does come im sure fergie will have a plan in mind.
