I kind of wonder how much longer De Gea can keep up playing at this level. He has 10 years of professional football under his belt at 27, and we've already seen with Casillas it's more about mileage than age.

Meh. That will do hardly got out of second gear tbh. Confident of progressing. Lindelöf and De Gea very good. Lukaku, Matic, McTominey solid. Rashford and Martial lively when introduced.

Painful to watch, that's how ***** we've been and setup not to win in an important game again.

Mate, that's Mourinho. He's liable to do this at home. You knew exactly what you're sacrificing in return for results when you hired him. Pointless narking about it now.

Defended well. Some last-ditch but that's all part of defending. And then there's always Superman in nets. Best in the World indeed. We had him in nets we'd be neck and neck with City right now.

Dodgy result all the same like. Always prefer an away goal now. They get 1 three weeks and panic sets in. Utd, Chelsea and to a slightly lesser extent Tottenham all in the balance. Which personally I could do without as an English side to save money would be very welcome next round as much as I'd miss a trip.

I'd be quite happy if I were Sevilla, tbh. Obviously they'll curse the De Gea save, but going to Old Trafford in a 'win or draw' (if there's goals shared)" scenario is decent.

Can see what Jose tried; keep it tight for 75+ and try nick an away with Rashford & Martial on. Don't agree with it, but I can see what he tried.

Key next summer as every summer at Utd.

Keeping Madrid away from him.

I can't wait for the summer transfer window haha, how sad that might sound.. It is what it is. :(

Lord Woodward has a faulty fax machine so it can't happen.

Think that time has been and gone tbh, it will be nigh impossible for them now without paying a kings ransom.

Btw, trust me when I say this...you wouldn't be near City even with De Gea. Your defense was has been like a leaky cauldron at times.

As good as De Gea is, more often than not this season the defence in front of him has been decent.

Standard Mourinho/ Utd performance away from home in recent years. Let’s not forget Sevilla are no mugs at home. Could see the plan like RH said. Can’t see them getting that many chances at OT. Would start partnership of Bailly and Lindelöf from now on and let it bloom. Zlatan to score the winner off the bench at home :)

z, your defending over this season has been no better than ours. And since van Dijk has arrived and organised is worse. But you have the best security blanket in the World behind them and it's not even close.

Hope Shaw plays LB and that we play 4231, Alexis and Lukaku too isolated in attack.. :(

Saw what you've been saying on McTonimy (Sp?) tonight bro'.

Not his fault as he's young and learning but he looked woefully inexperienced and out of place out there. Mad how he benched Pogba and rolled with those three in such a game. Although he'll say the end justifies the means I guess.

He was our second player player behind DDG easily our best CM. Composed, made good interceptions and passed it off to the better passers in the team and was decent in headed duels. Thought he handled himself very well in a mega tough stadium in his first CL knock out game.

Think Mctominay had a good game but nothing special, just good at everything that needed to be done, good to see him keep getting minutes

Tonight was probably the best I've seen from him Scouse, which tells you.

BTW, probably not a popular opinion to voice on these here pages, but looking without a vested interest in Utd, the Sanchez signing has completely unbalanced your side. Aside from the salary issues potentially unbalancing the egos the changies. You didn't need a left winger as he's consistently playing him and it's knocked on to a couple of other players.

Everything is going according to plan.

Be a richest club on the planet, spend 50 trillion on transfers every summer, add one of the best players in the world during winter window, have all the influence and wealth and media attention, hire one of the most decorated managers in history, all to park the bus and play for a draw away against 5th team of the spanish league.
