The Manchester United Thread

Signing Neymar is probably the only way Mourinho could sell Martial without United fans completely looking for his head on a stick (anymore than some are already). That's how much of a fan favourite our French 'Tony is.

I'd have him in a heartbeat. And Shaw for that matter for quality depth to rotate with Robbo.

Beyond criminal how he's treated the latter in particular.

But narky **** would never sell to us so it's pointless even letting yer mind wonder.

Its a ******* shame Martial did not start, **** even play in this game.

Is he really injured or snubbed again, who knows...

Pity we couldn't take a few years off Carrick. This is exactly what we need, someone to dictate the tempo, control the game & break lines like that.

Jorginho is literally on the market & available. Kroos #1 at it.

Watched Shaktar a lot this season especially since we was linked in Jan. And Fred is actually very good at this. His final ball usually splitting the defensive line is actually very good short and long. He’s actually a bit more all rounded. Incredible engine and technically good on the ball with good dribbling and driving runs. Very strong too.

I know it’s been a dire game and no one has really impressed. But Rashford has frustrated the life out of me today!

Goodbye Carrick :( great player, great man and true Utd great! Thanks for all the memories.

Don’t usually expect to many major changes in the Summer but can this year. Think Jose knows need to get rid of the deadwood and players he don’t trust. And improve not only the 11 but the general quality of the squad!

Mourinho: "Martial was injured. Friday training session. He had treatment at the training ground this morning. I don't know if he will be fit for the final. Knee problem." #mulive [bbc]

Jose Mourinho confirms no direct replacement for Rui Faria: "No number two. I will reorganise my coaching staff in a way assistant manager doesn't exist."

Jose: "Rui Faria. It is difficult because he is my friend. 17 years is a long time. We spend more time with each other than anybody else in our lives. It is a new moment for me. The process of education is something I like to do. It is an opportunity for other guys in the club to step up."

I will have specific coaches, analysts and no assistant manager. I think it will be Michael Carrick in the future when he has his badges." #MUFC

Laird and Garner both very impressive again tonight as England u17s beat Norway to reach the semifinal. Garner captain again.
