The Manchester United Thread

#mufc are keen to avoid the issues they experienced right at the start of the post-Ferguson era [David Moyes] when Ten Hag takes over as manager. United feel that it cost Moyes valuable time in terms of assessing transfer options #mujournal [@sistoney67]

It is not known precisely when Ten Hag will report to the #mufc's training complex for the first time after Ajax's season. However, it is highly anticipated he will start working immediately, have a holiday, and be back in time to prepare for pre-season #mujournal [@sistoney67]

How would you lot feel about Evan N’Dicka?
Not seen much of him but what I have seen. He looks to have all the ingredients to be a top CB. Pace, good in the air, rapid. Left footed and would offer balance to the back. Seems a decent passer. Only 22 I think and in his last year so could be a bargain. The news reports originally were fake though linking us to him.

Not that we are going to sign most the names mentioned. But it it pleasantly surprising to be linked with new exciting youngish players.

I’ve been watching him in the Europa league all season and he plays a bit like Rudiger.
Of course, Frankfurt have always played with 3 at the back to some question makes of how he’d fare in a back 2.

Man Utd women will have three new training pitches for their return in pre-season. Club are working on a womens own facility & "investing heavily" for a place over next few years. Also discussing how much to increase player budget. #MUFC

Ten Hag: “There is no agreement in place that would exclude me from taking players to #MUFC. Which Ajax players are interesting? I have very good players here, but that's a non-issue. We now have to become champions and everything should be focussed on that.” @wetalkajax

Wreck-It Ralph needs to understand the difference between ‘available’, and ‘realistic/ No F chance of!’ And stop insulting you all to cover his own massve managerial inadequacies.

Who are Utd helping out today?

You should write him a strongly worded letter.

No wonder those 2 got the chop!

"The answer was no, and that was it." Ralf Rangnick says he wanted to try and bring in a striker to Man Utd in January, but the board did not. #MUFC #bbcfootball

“I still believe we should have tried in those 48 hours. The Board sees it the same way. They agreed. But they also spoke to the scouting department at the same time as me. The answer was no, there is no player on the market that can really help us.”

Rangnick: “There were a few [players available in Janaury]: [Luis] Diaz, who is now in Liverpool, [Julian] Alvarez, who will be at Man City in the summer, [Dusan] Vlahovic, who at the time was still at Fiorentina. Those are just three that come across my mind now.”

You see, none of those options were realistic considering the Greenwood video was made public on the 29th of January. By then, those deals were either signed or at least close to completion.

48 hours doesn’t give us much to plan much unless we wanted to pull the Ighalo card again

Happy with that. Hopefully get to see some good possession based attacking football. Happy Maguire didn’t walk straight back in

No desire, no urgency. Feels terrible as a fan watching United.
