The Manchester United Thread

Am I going crazy, or is every 'striker' we get linked to buying actually a winger?

Vhlasic, Osinhem, Leao 🤷🏻‍♂️ all strikers. Gapko isn’t a striker replacement for Ronaldo he was already on the list to bolster the attacking positions. And likely the only good attacker on the market in Jan. Will likely have to wait till the summer for a genuine out and out STR.

First-quarter results for @ManUtd out. Includes 'the Board of Directors did not approve the payment of the semi-annual dividend for fiscal 2023; decision reflected factors including the significant investment made in the team last summer'.
Or more likely the Glazers who would get the biggest dividend payments realised they can get more by just selling the club. The leeches have bled the club dry and now want one final big pay out.

Another great performance by the women today drawing 1-1 against City. Should have win it at the end. Leaves us 1 point off Arsenal in 2nd level matches. And 5 points of Chelsea who are top with a game more than us. Sitting well in 3rd and the CL spots atm :)

Erik ten Hag on the Glazers looking to sell #MUFC: "My information is that it will only be good things, because there will be more investment possible, which is good," explains Ten Hag. Via @TheAthleticFC

Erik ten Hag: "Richard Arnold told me it was happening. We spoke about the culture we want, we spoke about objectives, goals and the culture and he confirmed it won't change. It will be even better because more money will become available for this project. Via @TheAthleticFC

As the Glazers try to find a buyer for Manchester United, there’s now to ability to put a new sponsor on shirts with a deal to buy out the Team Viewer deal after barely a year

There was momentum on stadium redevelopment, Joel Glazer feeding back on various plans. But board told new build cost would be £1.2bn-£1.6bn, unviable without huge outside investment. Old Trafford renovation frontrunner. Hiatus during sale process #MUFC

Good signing! And shows we learnt from last season when we tailed off in the crunch part of the season due to lack of quality depth. Meaning we missed out on top 3.

Manchester United women have signed the Belgium forward/midfielder Justine Vanhaevermaet.

If only we did the reasonable thing and gotten Enzo Fernandes for peanuts back in the summer.
Could have had him and Caicedo for 20m euros🤦🏻‍♂️ hopefully now the old guard from Fergie, Moyes, LVG, Mourinho scouting regime has gone. And we have new head scouts and analysts in we can get back on top of these kind of players. One of the new heads of scout is South American so hopefully we can start dipping into the market over there again.

Had r on-line knobs narking about that.

Wouldn’t have been anything like what Benfica paid if L’pool or United had been interested mate. Plus he’s only really blown up this season. Would have been a pricey gamble on projection.
