| Sir Jim Ratcliffe has bought his #mufc shares with the company Trawlers Limited, of which he owns 100%, which is a reference to the famous quote from Eric Cantona, his favourite player. [@lauriewhitwell]

@TelegraphDucker Ratcliffe will get first refusal should Glazers wish to sell any further #MUFC stock in future although there’s no clause in deal that will necessitate the Americans selling their remaining shareholding to the Ineos founder at a specified date in future
So basically he's been sold up the swanny by the greedy Spams who will be more than happy to continue to bleed the club dry. The guy is a bigger mug than I thought.

Watch this space I guess. Ducker is saying the review has already started of the football side of things. 4-6 weeks till it’s completed. A new director of football will be coming in and another member at the top level on the football side.

I’m guessing he’s talking about Mitchell and Ashworth

Ducker and the Times also saying that the Glazers can’t veto any decision made by Ratcliffe or Ineos regarding football decisions

From the Financual Times: The 300 million pledged investment over the 12 months next will mean that he will acquire extra shares that way too. So it will be at least 30% of the whole club by Christmas 2024.

A reminder that this is not the beginning of the end. It is the beginning of something, but we can’t yet be sure of what. Sir Jim’s team have reached out to us today to say that we will speak in the early new year, which is good news. Also promised regular communication. There are a lot of questions Reds have.

The more I think about it, this deal is heaven for the glazers. If it all goes to further ****, they have a fall guy. If he succeeds, they can continue to bleed the club dry as they have. Win-win situation for them

"Jim isn’t going to do a deal like this and then have his hands tied". Ratcliffe's Ineos group are taking FULL control of football matters from the Glazers. For the first time since 2013, the Americans will take a back seat on ALL football decisions at #MUFC

Exactly. They've 'sold' a quarter of the club with no deal to sell anymore. Ratcliffe was clearly thinking with his heart and not his head on this one.

Actually that isn’t the case according to the Financial Times. Everytime he invests more money into the club he gains more shares. And the way the new class A and B share structure has happened in regards to rights. This can now easily pave the way for the other 4 siblings that want out to do so and SJR has first refusal.

Sir David Brailsford and Jean-Claude Blanc have been at Carrington and Old Trafford for a month watching United’s football operation at work. A focus on recruitment and scouting is a major priority, and a sporting director will be appointed soon. [@Tom_Morgs]

Every department will be scrutinised: data analysis, nutrition, recovery, injuries/injury prevention, psychology. John Murtaugh will be relieved of his duty as DOF. [@Tom_Morgs]

This comes after the 6 month review from the people who built the new Wembley and new Spurs stadium were brought in to look at plans for OT.

Redevelopment & expansion of Old Trafford has been cited as an 8 year project. It could be a messy, drawn out process. #MUFC have a unique opportunity to build a new stadium on surrounding land in OT’s shadow - and continue playing at OT while they do
