The Manchester United Thread

This season the results haven't been fully there, however the metrics and underlying data shows a lot of progress for #MUFC.

Compared to other teams in the league here is how Man United rank:
Shots conceded - 6th
Tackles - 1st
Interceptions - 1st
Shots on Target - 4th
XG - 3rd
Big Chances Created - 3rd
Big Chances Missed - 1st
Most Passes - 6th
Saves - 1st (Onana made 4th most saves last season, he's had to make the fewest this season)
Clean sheets - 3rd
Possession won in Final 3rd - 3rd

It's a small sample size. But the progress is clearly there.

Good rotation!

Great to see Hojlund and Mount back in full first team training today. Need as many options and players for throughout the season as possible after last seasons injury nightmare

We’ve been drawn against the winner of the Žalgiris (Lithuania) / The New Saints (Wales) tie in the UEFA Youth League Domestic Champions Path (2nd round). The dates 23 Oct & 6 Nov (TBC). Žalgiris won the 1st leg 3-2.

If we go through we’ll face either Strømsgodset (Norway) or AZ Alkmaar. The third round dates are 27 Nov & 11 Dec (TBC).

BREAKING: #mufc are ready to abandon plans to keep Old Trafford if they build a new stadium. They now realise that scaling down Old Trafford to a capacity of around 30,000 to host Academy and Women's fixtures will be too complex and unlikely to work. [@ChrisWheelerDM]
