Jagielka+Cahill for me, but should definitely play Terry+Rio vs. Poland so they can get buttraped by our wingers.
 
Oh the joyous JT vs Rio row comes to the for front again. With both players in their pomp JT was better in my opinion but right now Rio is better.

Both very different players, Terry was good at the things that Rio wasn't, and vice versa. Hence how they complimented one another so well.

Ferdinand is the more rounded footballer imo, but I love Terry
 
Not related to United, but to Ronaldo...

After his own goal yesterday (something Messi is yet to accomplish), Ronaldo has scored against every single team in La Liga.

Terry is/was superior in the air, though Rio was no slouch. Rio was the more rounded defender, its why their partnership was so formidable. And such a shame it fell apart.

The original statement was that Rio is better than JT, which he isn't. Don't get me wrong Rio is a fantastic defender but JT is better. Maybe I shouldn't bring it up in the United thread as it'll just get **** hurt replies.

You've not actually shown any reason why. Its nothing to do with butthurt, that's just a lazy point to make. You assert something, back it up with some reasoning then.

Terry was better than Rio in the air

Rio was better on the ground, with the ball at his feet and also a quicker player.

Rio had a better complete game whereas Terry always had pace as a weakness. Though he was very very good at covering for it until recent years.
