The Manchester United Thread

Majority/most of football journos are shockingly poor mate

Firstly, that's wrong. It's just that ones that talk bollocks are the ones that get the headlines. Follow some proper journalists and you'll see what I mean.

Secondly, who's fault is that? Ours. So long as we lend even the slightest bit of credence to these articles - and that involves discussing them - we're at fault for vindicating their ****-stirring. I flat out refuse to even consider talking about most football stories unless they have some kind of source, and even then I do my ******* research.

I'd struggle to name a journo which i class as decent or credible. i find bloggers and online articles far more interesting as that is the opinion of that certain someone without any bull.

You find bloggers more credible than journos.

Yeah, you're DEFINITELY following the wrong guys.

EDIT: In fact, you're not even just following the wrong guys. Thinking bloggers are more credible than good journalists is just truly ridiculous.

Not credible for news stories etc but opinion on the game etc yes. I'd rather read that then some journo's putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with all sorts.

You're talking about two completely different things. Opinion pieces =/= news stories. I'd be willing to agree some bloggers - not all - are often superior in terms of opinion pieces. In terms of actual proper news stories? Not a chance.

We get the news we deserve. People still buy the Sun in droves.

Papers will only pick on teams/players that are hitting a low point or ones who are at the top.

Or both. Perfect scenario for them, their Rooney bullshit derails us and we throw a 12 point lead again - £££.

I feel sorry for Chelsea today. This is going to be a rampage.

Normally i'd say something like "yeah well we shall see won't we" or bring up the fact that we have beaten you more times at OT than any other side but today i am going to agree with you unfortunately.

RVP doesn't start in big game so i wonder if he has had a rift with SAF and will be on his way out now?

Called rotation mate, nothing more than that.

You should send Cakir postcard with best wishes after this game. Because this is his fault.

I think SAF is in argue with SAF and one of them will leave United at the end of the season.
