The Manchester United Thread

Personally I think that if we can't go for Modric and Sneijder then we should try and get Banega or Martinez. Banega had proven his ability to dictate play and is a great player while Javi Martinez impresses me every time I watched him. I would prefer the latter option, as he has the capability to attack AND defend, is strong physically but doesn't lack in technique. Top class talent IMO.
 
Oh yeh, Javi Martinez top class, but we need some one with a bit of strenght, but we could give him that, done it with fletcher and now look, fletcher's just amazing.

Not sure that's the case, I don't think we even tried to get Sahin.

Also, for the record Ozil didn't want to join United. We tried but he didn't want to come because he didn't like the physicality of the Premier League.

You can say Nani won't leave all you like, doesn't gurantee it. I doubt Fergie is foolish enough to think Giggs is the answer to our problems and if he does, then I'd suggest the old man should retire. Modric wants to leave Spurs, Chelsea want to sign Modric; if we don't go for him then we're just making Chelsea stronger.

If Fergie comes out and say Giggs will be our CM this season I wont disagree with that. The man has seen them all and knows whats best for the team. Why Giggs, if he says Gibson will be our main CM, I would say aye will see when the man who knows the team inside out trust someone, I will follow.

And we have Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson, Giggs. Yes we need CM but its not the end of the world if we dont get one..

Dont know. No where it is mentioned. Rumors floating around that he is on 100 K..
 
would not mind seein defour at united has looked quality when seen him play maybe wouldnt cost much either?
 
While i was in Greece i got Vidic's autograph :D He was in a restaurant in Serbia,Belgrade! And my sister's boyfriend took it,he works there :D

I was surprised when he sent her a message:tell Marko that Vidic is in restaurant :D I immediately told her to tell him to take an autograph :D Must be a pretty good restaurant ;) BTW just had a feeling Scott was going to get banned while i was away XD

Getting banned while the mods were away is quite the achievement.

I'm sure Vidic is a real nice guy to everyone he isn't defending against. ;)

I have from Rooney. No I don't. And I don't need one ;). Can't see big deal in getting autograph anyway. But still, it's nice to have one. Specially from player who plays for your team and your country like Nemanja Vidic :wub:
 
Anyone else believe what other people are saying? Apparently Arsenal are willing to let Nasri join Manchester United now as they have signed Ricardo Alvarez as a replacement. If there is any truth, it would be amazing news for United, just the player we need in my opinion.

Nope, don't want him. Hoping this is all rubbish, I can't see Wenger being naive enough to think Alvarez could replace Nasri straight away

Absolutely doubt he will let Nasri who has just had a spectacular season move to United too... particularly if Fabregas does end up moving this seasons
