The Manchester United Thread

I'm not against Moyes, I just thought we were really poor today and it disheartened me when he came out and said it was the best we have played all season. Ander Herrera is the main man I would like, Fellaini I'm not so sure about.

1000000000% true. You can't just lose to your arch-rival and then come out and say that. No way in ****.

So you're telling me he used his footwork to hold up the ball (and then pass it sideways as always)? By saying he didn't dribble well I mean when he didn't use his technical dribbling and technique abilities, his decisions and flair and also acceleration, agility and pace to go past his man. He did not do that effectively.

And yes, I do think you partly support him just because he is English, especially after your statement that English players are core of United's identity.

It just happens that Kagawa and Chicharito are more finished product. And there's a reason why Ferguson has relied more on them (especially Chicha) last season when we were behind and needed a comeback. Because in that cases you need to revert to your best players. Not to Welbeck.

He dribbled through them, he didnt just hold the ball up, he dribbled inside and out of them and laid off. If you cant see how that demands "technical dribbling and technique abilities, his decisions and flair and also acceleration, agility and pace to go past his man." then this is a lost cause.

Hernandez is a lethal striker, Kagawa is a 10, Welbeck is a moving link wide forward with an eye for space and excellent discipline. They all do different jobs. the first two couldn't have stopped Alonso like he did, for example.

And you are wrong about why i support him. Period.

Wow. This is really wrong. Oliver Neuville is spinning in his retirement home.

Sorry, if we're talking classics, there can be only one. Whooping 170 cm of superhuman strength.

Erm, Utd are playing at a very tough ground in Anfield. You've got to be careful with what you say post match. When it's at OT you can be a bit harsher if there is indeed a poor performance. It's spin. Every single manager throughout the history of football has done it, wether it's against a rival or not. And it will always continue to happen

Well, it's probably misunderstanding because of language (English not my native). Just like another case when we argued until we found our differences, I think it was about Anderson being a ball winner.

I am pretty sure Welbeck wasn't man marking any player in the way he did in the Real Madrid game. So from that point of view decision to use him was not justified. And since he wasn't doing something he's good at he didn't play well.

After I proved you actually partly support him just because he is English I'm sure it's in your best interest to say "Period".

He was set to man mark Alonso. He totally marked him out the game. Did you even watch the Madrid game. It was why Rooney was dropped.

You haven't proved anything. I just said you are wrong about the reasons why. For you to ignore that and think otherwise would frankly make you a fool.

Pretty sure you didn't 'prove' anything, you just refused to believe it wasn't true.

This is all that matters

The fact you're reacting like this to what he said is exactly why he said it, you know?

I agree with your point. But my personal opinion is the one I've stated. I hate losing to an arch-rival. I hate it more when the manager comes out after the game and says it is the best game we've played. I don't think he should be happy no matter the game was at Anfield. Not saying it's the best game our team has played. Some aspects could have been better compared to the Swansea game but in the end it's a loss vs arch-rivals compared to a 4-1 win vs a tough team who won CO cup last season and didn't sell its stars.

You're being pretty ignorant and responding like I said things I didn't actually even think. That's manipulative and you've been doing that during the whole dispute. To continue doing that is foolish. Or you're just foolish enough to not understand what I've said.

You did say the English players are core to United's identity. And you do support Welbeck. I guess you're probably deluded to believe he deserves it and he will some day be United's star player like Roo/RVP. It's fine for me if you admit that one way or another.

He never said he'd be a star player, stop putting words into his mouth.

But that aside, Welbeck ******* well does deserve it. No United player that works harder than Welbeck, he deserves every plaudit he gets.

Bit harsh, what about that Right-Back Valencia! ;)

You said he wasn't marking a player, I corrected you. he was shutting down the flank, it's part of his job, he's defensively excellent for a forward Not hard to follow. I'm not being mainpulative, you're making stuff, and I'm repeatedly pulling you up on it.

English players core to identity =/= the reason i support a player. I also never said he would be a star. Stop lying and making things up, its embarrassing.

0/10 try again.

I said: "I am pretty sure Welbeck wasn't man marking any player in the way he did in the Real Madrid game." Meaning he wasn't man marking any player in the Liverpool game today in the way he was man marking Alonso the Real Madrid game. Your response wasn't correction. Your response was lying and making things up. And you're the one being embarrassed.

(sarcasm) Yeah, keeping score about a dispute in a forum by a side participating in the dispute is totally correct and valid. 100/0?!

I predicted it before the match on here! #MoyesOutZzeezzyin

Hah. Nani needs to start at RW. Not sure how we will line up vs Palace, think the City game is close after?

That depends on what happens tomorrow..
