The Manchester United Thread

comes in roundabouts really. Against Everton, your guys had a few naughty tackles, like that high foot down that fella's thigh. Then that Vidic cruncher etc.

Shout out to Tiote. Thought he was outstanding today.
You mean the perfect 50-50 Vidic on Walker? Or the yellow card one that Vidic was booked for?

It's nice to know Palace have a better defensive midfield than United.

There were also at least a couple of times Man Utd player could/should of been booked for diving, but they weren't.
Agreed. Chicarito should have been booked in first half.
Fantastic wing play, attack with numbers in the box and attack no matter what.

Now we don't attack with more than 3 players and 2 in the box.

Ok, I couldn't agree more. Now please, could you tell me when that lack of identity started in first place? Is that 'Fantastic wing play, attack with numbers in the box and attack no matter what' Manchester United identity or is there more than just playstyle?

Fellaini should have been book for his high foot, but Vidic, for what? And two wrongs doesn't make one right. I don't.... I must quit forums.

Fergie, you clever *******. You knew when to quit, didnt you.

Sounds like I did myself a favour sleeping through the match.. :/

I wasn't even surprised or frustrated by the results anymore. Simply what I expected. Just a simple question, how much patience should be given to Moyes? Even if the club and players shows no improvement and are actually deteriorating? Even if we are closer to the relegation zone than the top of the table?

.

I can't help you if you can't spot the change in how we approach the games this season. We don't attack with numbers, **** we don't even attack at all.

Wing play is traditional ManUtd way along with attacking football. No matter what we always went for goal and attacked with numbers. It's just a play style but something that we followed religiously which resulted in winning so many titles. Attack every min till the final whistle was our mantra and that's the reason we scored so many goals and also so many late goals.

the same we gave saf all them years ago

And I agree with what sunilvk7 is saying, United used to be all about constant attacking, getting the ball forward quickly and then defending in numbers when you need to. These days under Moyes, only the defending in numbers bit remains...

(The same applied in Fergie's last season too, I think after losing the title to City Fergie released that his team weren't good enough to constantly attack anymore.)

Not really. When SAF took the job ManUtd didn't win the league for 20 years so he needed time to re build. Moyes was handed champions squad and all it was needed was a ******* CM. He failed miserably at that.

I'm not saying Moyes should go but he shouldn't be given time like SAF for the reason I stated above and also when SAF came to United he was a champion manager with European title under his belt along with Scottish league titles with such a small club. He was a genius.

Hopefully he'll be given a few years to keep trying this **** football, giving us just enough time to win the league a few times! :)
dont count on it come jan you lot wil have some how ****** it up and either city or chelsea will be top
