One another thing in the article; just to ask you people since when this has happened this season - The name is Andy Carroll rather than Alan Shearer but his partnership with Luis Suárez threatens to eclipse the Javier Hernández/Wayne Rooney axis.

Rooney said he was a live long Everton fan and it was special for him to get past Liverpool as the team with most domestic titles.

Sunilvk7, after how you slaughtered Barcelona for their tactics in the Champions League semi's, what's your opinion of the United players bombarding the referee and lines-men with abuse to get them to give you a suspect penalty? (not 100% decided on whether it was a penalty yet).

Also, enjoy it while you can United fans, because it sure as well won't last. We're coming back, stronger than ever. :)

Liverpool fans said that last year, no? And the year before? And before?

I have said N number of times that every team hound ref for game changing decision like Penalty incidents, red card incidents, controversial goals. Not for every single foul waving imaginary card and farthest player Valdes running like a lunatic charging towards ref even when the the player is fouled on the other side of the pitch.

And also if you see the incident again only Vidic had a word with Linesman, as he is a Captain he can. Rio had a word from few yards away not sure whether Linesman even heard what he said. Nani ran towards linesman but he didnt even talk to him. He was pointing to to the lineman to decide with the ref..

Abuse? I'm sure there was no mic to hear what they said.

Why is surrounding and intimidating the referee to try and win a penalty any worse than waving imaginary yellow cards? Both are unneeded parts of football, and attempts at influencing the referee. Both are disgraceful in my opinion.

Intimidating? Check out the video. Only Vidic had a word with linesman, as a Captain he has the right to.

Yes, both are disgraceful, but to hound the ref for smallest of fouls is shambolic. We can understand when it is done for the game changing decisions but for every single foul? Gimme a break..

I have checked out the video. To me, that behaviour is intimidating. Going up to the referee with hands in the air and going far too close to him is intimidating in my opinion. Also, Scholes and and Nani have words with the linesman from what I can see in the video.

I'm not anti-United either - all teams do it and I hate the behaviour. As soon as the game gets rid of it the better.

And I also agree with your next point. Especially when the referee has already made his decision, it's terrible to surround him every time. I think Barcelona are by far the worst at that kind of conduct. It's dreadful. At least we don't have the extent of diving in the Premiership as they have do deal with in other foreign leagues.

So I'll be a Man Utd fan come the 28th of May! :)

That shouldn't make a difference, you shouldn't do it full stop. Whether it's a game changing decision, or a petty foul.
You act as if the only team to ever use such tactics is Barcelona, when the reality is every single team do it...

[Granted, Barcelona took it to a different level that game]

Just realized that we will meet our small time neighbours in the Community Shield at Wembley at the beginning of next season, nice way to start the season, taking silverware of Citeh. (Don't judge me, it was a heavy night of celebrations last night hense why I have only just realized it lol)

Completely agree. Players who hound the ref should get the yellow card apart from Captain.

I think Nani was kinda acting as peace maker. In a sense asking the ref to talk to linesman. I dont think he did any mistake there. Rio had a word with linesman.

I never said it last year? I haven't said it at all I don't think.

But even the biggest United fan cannot deny that this Liverpool team is on the up. We finally have stability all through the club (unlike United) and confidence is booming, we'll be back in the top 4 next season...

At who's expense? Can't see Chelsea or Citeh dropping out with the money available to them, we certainly won't drop out so that just leaves Arsenal who if they don't strenghten then are in danger of missing out. There is also a big difference between finishing fourth and winning the league though but I do agree, Liverpool are a team on the up but I don't see a title challenge coming from you just yet.

After saying all that, you again said what i posted long back. All teams do that, but Barca do that for every single decision.

TBH, I hate players hounding the ref. Only captain should talk to the ref..

Can i know what stability you are talking about?

Anyways we can't change the way others think. We were supposed to be out of top 4 according to many and are on decline. Not bad for a declining club to win the league and play in the finals of champions league.

Stability throughout the club = managerial stability, financial stability and so on. United lack financial stability as long as the Glazer's continue to own them. Also, I've not once thought you'd be out of the top 4, nor are you on decline. You've been weaker this season, as have so many teams. All in all, it makes for an exciting summer

No, I'm not saying you said that, but many did.

We can spend when we need to. If Fergie needs money he will get it. He himself has said that. Not sure I would trust someone on internet posting his opinion rather than the Man who knows the club better than anyone.

I don't see the sense of some Liverpool fans. I say some because lot of them have been gracious. But some just think that they are going eo go straight up next year to win the title but they need to trust their manager can the owners trust Dalglish for 4-5 years remains to be seen.Remember Fergie needed 4 years to win a trophy.I don't think any club are going to wait that long the current owners of top clubs want immediate success.I think this applies to city as well. I just say to all Liverpool we didn't had the banner of 'Come Back when you've 18' and our ex-player didn't say 'you don't win anything with kids' but we've done it all.And we'll keep doing it. I am not being arrogant just being confident. There is no other club in the world with more belief, more courage.
