The Manchester United Thread

Im very happy with he's season,he's been good...hope he scores a few vs Blackpool and gets that golden boot!

Fergie better give Cleverly first team games next season, I don't just mean the odd Cup fixture either, he's good enough to be challenging for a central midfield spot.

He rates him highly so i think he will get allot of games, and great thing is he can play anywhere in midfield!!!

We can not rely on the likes of Cleverley and Welbeck to do the job next season even if Scholes and Giggs stay on. United need to invest in some players this summer no matter what in my opninion. Quite a few signings needed (not easy ones either).

Gibson out, Cleverley to fill his spot. Please and thank you.

Most of those goals have been in routs though.

Puts us into the lead and we go on to win 3/4-0. He just started the rout is all. I only remember him scoring 3 winning goals. Liverpool, Blackpool, Bolton.

But he didn't score 5 against Blackburn when we were 2 or 3 nil up. He opened scoring and also put in good position by scoring again. Same against Brum..

As much as winner, first goal to stage a come back is also important like he did against Blackpool.

I'm not saying we don't need a top quality playmaker & a rock in midfield, but Cleverley should be getting in matchday squads. Carrick & Gibson should be sold.

No doubt that young Tom Cleverley has a big future in the game and maybe with Manchester United but I don't see him getting many games ahead of Nani, Valencia and the ever young Ryan Giggs at the moment. I would certainly though drop Gibson out of the squad and replace him with Clevers as "back up" for next season.

The stats you just posted only take into account when he gives us the lead/equalizes.. I can only think of 3 winning goals he's scored, and in all three of those games he also scored the opening goal (Bolton was the same goal for opening and winner)

Yeah, still i cant remember all the games, but still good stats to support Berbatov ;)

And BTW City's 35 years banner has been removed. Matt Busby's Manchester is my heaven was put up in that place if I'm not wrong.

To be fair it doesn't really matter, a goal is a goal and helps win the title. If Berbatov didn't score those goals to start the rout the rout may not of happened and we could of not scored and drawn or lose.

City's 35 year banner has been removed. Nothing has been put up as of now. Hope we put something like 19 rather than focusing on rivals.

So the FA YC Final 1st Leg (away leg) ended 2-2.
Time to finish them off at OT.

Player of the year awards are tonight, just wondering who would get your vote?

Vidic, Giggs or Hernandez for me.

Vidic and Nani had better seasons than anyone imo. Then Hernandez for impact he had in his first season. Followed by Berbatov, Giggs.

suprised none of you united fans have said

Edwin Van Der Sarr :O

Could be any of the following:

Edwin Van der Sar
Nani
Dimitar Berbatov
Nemanja Vidic
Ji-Sung Park
Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez

All the above could be within a shot of winning player of the year in my opinion. Special mentions to Chris Smalling who has had a brilliant, unexptected terrific first season, Rafael and Fabio who again have both came a long way this season.
