Interesting, yes, but reeks of poor research and putting a ridiculous skew on situations. I've made my feelings extremely clear on his set-piece taking, but "has played recently like he wants to leave Aston Villa"? What does that mean? Does it mean he's just played BADLY? In which case, why the **** is he using that to back up his argument?
it means, you can see he is frustrated and doesnt really want to be there, Loads of players dont put in 100% when they dont want to be at a club, That isnt a strange thing.
He plays exactly the same as he has done for the past two seasons, and I give you my word on that, having watched almost all of the time he's played during that period. Unless he's wanted to leave for three seasons straight and done nothing about it (VERY unlikely) then the whole "he's frustrated and has his mind set on other things" is bullshit. Whilst I don't pretend to know everything about the inner workings of the club, according to insiders (Kendrick and Abraham) it went something like this: Young sat down with the manager and said he wanted to leave. He still likes the club and appreciates all we've done for him, but he wants to move on. So if the club accept reasonable bids for him, he'll perform until he leaves.
Also, to say he's 'carried' Villa this season (from the article) is laughable: Downing, Reo-Coker and latterly Bent have carried the team and indeed Young if anything.

We've covered the ashley young thing really well in the last few weeks, so you know my feelings on him
I'd rather Bale than him
I'd rather have no one than either, thats how much i dont want us to spend money on them
Fair shout, Tbh the only time i have seen him play is For England this season, and he looked very good. I wouldnt mind him and who am i to argue with Sir Alex Ferguson if he signs him.

I havent been here, So yeah, Why wouldnt you want Either, Granted bale is over priced and media hyped up, but Young for 15ish million cant be bad.
Youngs an odd one. One day he has a great game then goes quiet for a few weeks. Don't think United need to strengthen that area particularly - Nani and Valencia are good enough for me.
CM is needed, to fill the void left by Scholes when he hangs up his boots but this is all a given, dont think it really needs debating as everyone can see that. Hopefully Fergie was watching Marchisio for Nevilles testimonial, hes a good player and would do well for United I reckon. Love to see him in the prem
Sneijder: was fuming that we didnt go after him at real. i want him at the club as a priorty signing
Well he is less creative, since he isnt a genuine goal making 10 like Rooney is. hasnt got the range of passing for one. Dimi leaving would leave us with two top strikers, you need 3. And he would lessen the reliability on Rooney. we have a huge budget this summer. more than enough for aguero on top of an MC if berbatov leaves. Not a priority but a possibility
goalkeeper is all but secured.
as we were discussing on the Man Utd vs Barcelona Thread, why not Falcao instead of El Kun, would be a relatively cheaper option and he does have bags of ability
already brought that up. aguero is my preferred option wouldnt complain with either though. still wouldnt stunt hernandez's growth either
would make more sense to sign Falcao tbh, I think he would go for 20m-25m although it is true that Aguero has the potential to be miles better than Falcao
You could play with height though, Nani and Valencia send in a lot of crosses. I know Chicharito is great at picking them out and scoring but if you had a tall player who is good in the air it would be a very nice complement to Chicha and Rooney (whereas Kun doesn't really bring anything very new to the table).
You do have Welbeck and Macheda though, meaning you shouldn't get another player at all. 30 million is a lot less than 40, but even then you shouldn't be spending tens of millions so that you can bench Chicharito and stunt the development of Welbeck and Macheda. Especially considering the other areas that need shoring up.
