Ashley Young has told MUTV: "... the opportunity to come and play for one of the biggest clubs in the world is one I couldn't turn down."
 
Anyone knows his wages, anything higher than 130k p/w will be slightly expensive and this effectively kills your interest in Sanchez who is likely to head to Barcelona although i believe Young will do well for Man Utd

There is nothing from our side for Sanchez. Udinese just bumped the price, only City and Barca are fighting for him as asking price was way too high for us and Inter..

seems likely to head to Barcelona then... I doubt he will choose City when Barca are keen to sign him

Not sure why you don't like this deal..

Young's dead ball assist rate from last 4 years of 7.5 per season is better than Beckham - who averaged 4.77 per season in his #MUFC career.

Since the start of the 06/07 season, only Fabregas (60) has made more PL assists than Ashley Young (44)
Ashley Young is 7th on the #PL assist rate list with 0.46 assists/game, behind Giggs, Bergkamp, Cantona, Fabregas, Henry & Beckham. #mufc

Some impressive stats there. Personally quite happy he's signed, as long as he's not on those reported 100K+ wages p/w..

Unless they announce it, is there any way to find out his wages?

I dunno...maybe it's because I don't like him? It pretty much gurantees Nani's exit? We're wasting money on a player that we don't need? oO) Özil last year went for peanuts, Sahin this year's gone for even less; that's two players that Fergie could've signed for less than what we're paying for Young, who would've been excellent replacements for Scholes. I'm happy that Fergie's signed Jones & De Gea, but Young is a 25 year-old winger and it just doesn't make sense. I'll be furious if we don't sign a topnotch central midfielder...and remember, Fergie said we'll make 3 signings so you should understand why I feel ****** about this deal.
 
Fergie said we are looking at 3-4 players which is excluding Jones as we were supposed to sign him next season. So far still 1 or 2 signings are pending IMO..
 
So with Modric likely to stay in London and Sneijder not being possible, do anyone know who else would be the playmaker that we should go for? Would like to hear what people think here.

Sneijder's possible if a deal on his wages can be worked.

Nani won't leave. Doesn't guarantee anything.. I think he may have bought himself another year for the CM situation. He realised Giggs' performances last season in CM and considering Scholes didn't play that much this season maybe he thinks a winger replacement for Giggs and moving Giggs into CM will be enough for one season before we go for Modric next summer if Spurs don't get into the Champions League (which is very likely considering the strength of the teams around them).

Also, for the record Ozil didn't want to join United. We tried but he didn't want to come because he didn't like the physicality of the Premier League.
I would prefer to get a CM now and blend him into the squad, however I trust Ferguson no matter what.

Well the Palermo boss was saying the other day they haven't received any offers for Pastore, so I really don't know why we're not going for him if no-one else is interested. Everyone else - Nasri, Thiago & Alonso - is a longshot.
 
How can u say we dont need young?

Okay we have nani and valencia, but WE need a choice of players in each poisiton, players like nani need 2 learn its a squad game at a GREAT club like us, and leave if u think ur better then others then. And u cant consider park as a winger ALWAYS as in europe he is amazing in midfield and a key player for us there, so if Valencia or nani get injured who we got, thats why we signed ashley young, squad rotation, resting players so were not tired and dragged out after midwwek games every week throuhg fa cup, carling and champo leaue.

Personally, i think NASRI is comign for the scholes role which im glad, would of preferred modric but he wants london. prefer nasri to snejdier but he is PREM prover, snejider is better on stats but he very injiry prone and england maybe aint the right place for him.

Understand why we bought ashley young now :D

ALSO, rossi has come out and said he might move back to united :D :D :D :D, Sell berba if we get him.

Rooney, Hernandez, Rossi, Welbeck, Owen - glad with the strikeforce with mainly wlebeck and owen for lower games. Macheda is heading off on loan for another year until we sell owen so players dont lose intrest through no games.
