The article's about the two different 'classes' of the generations. Obviously one lot have all developed and almost retired by now, but it's still nice to compare the potential of the current crop to '92, as both could prove to be significant era's of Manchester United. And Schmeichel is really there for lack of other comparison for De Gea, it's unfair to compare them. Even when Schmeichel was bought he was 26 (?), a fairer comparison would be them both at 20ish, but I have a feeling archived 80's Brondby footage might be a tad difficult to get.
I liked it DMF.
EDIT: And Schmeichel didn't have the best of times when he first moved either (Wimbledon etc.) which just further emphasises the point it's unfair to judge him so far. It's clear from his Atletico days that his potential is phenomenal. As great as Schmeichel? We shall see!
