The Manchester United Thread

It doesn't but surely it makes easier.

If used the correct way then yes, but sometimes it can be a negative thing as you only get players who care about making a quick buck rather than give it all for the side. It also is a great story for the media if things don't go as expected they will continue to knock you down at every opportunity. For all peoples negative comments about Chelsea and more recently Abramovich the stats which show since 2008 City spent 570 million for 1 trophy but since 2004 Chelsea spent 457 but have 10 trophies should be highlighted.

Shame for Robinson, pretty big mistake. United havn't looked great at all going forward with the only potential outlet being the right wing, and Blackburn look like they could nick one, but as you say so many times, United grab a late goal.

Don't think it was a shot mind you, but to be fair, that is all you have to do, put the ball in danger areas and see what happends.

EDIT: Can't fault the 2nd goal though!

Dodgy Spanish keeper. Can't cope with mighty PL physicality. Waste of 18 Million, should have signed the Ajax keeper who went to Roma.

What a player he has become, unbelievable saves and I dont think there is any better keeper in the league in the past 2 months than De Gea. Just unreal saves.

I do find it disappointing when a player who has been playing in this country nearly 6 years can't speak English properly regarding Valencia.

City's cracking up! They're cracking up, cracking up, they're cracking! hahaha

Young's finish was brilliant, and I think LAV meant that shot/cross - why else would he hit a "cross" with the outside of his boot with such power? Great vision.

CJACKO you should better be disappointed about not playing in Champions League next season then about Valencia.

5 years and his english is decent, but not massively conversational. But then English is one of the hardest languages to learn. Clearly knows enough to understand what is being said.

Could be worse. At least LAV's attempted. Could be Carlos "3 Clubs and not a word of English" Tevez.

Exactly, its not like he needs translators to communicate. He can understand and thats more than enough to play the game. Also if I'm not wrong he can speak decent (probably poor) but he is very very shy lad, so its even harder to express or speak in language you are not comfortable with.

I know Nuno takes lessons. He came to england with literally zero english, so clearly he is making an effort.

My club not playing in the Champions League is nothing new because i grew up with them finishing mid table, very cheep shot but try it on someone who will actually care. Plus there is still 7 games left and not sure if you have noticed but we are still in the competition this season!

I'm not saying its easy but i took a dig at Tevez because of it and it's not right just to single one person out. There are many other players who have been over here much less than Valencia and can speak very good English. Personly i think its more about the persons willingness.

Totally agree with you, and people know i have slated him all the time for not being able to speak English. Sickening if you ask me.

Understanding is just the half of it, i'm just saying for someone who has been here for 6 years come August i would have expected a little more. I blame Sky too as they knew he couldn't speak English well so just bring someone else out, i know he got MOTM but still it just highlights it.

Not really. he came with zero english, he understands it very well, speaks it ok and is taking lessons. Not everyone necessarily has an ear for languages. So its not a point of criticism in the slightest.

And before it goes any further i actually wanted Utd to win tonight so i don't have a problem with that lol.
