The Manchester United Thread

Can see him going to Asia or the Middle East now to earn some money and slow down his career. Cant see any top club buying him. Was a class player but far too inconsistent sadly. Hope he does well in the future

Inconsistent? He started 14 games last season, coming off in 5 of them, and scored 10 goals. Last season he scored 21 in 32 starts. The season before he scored 17 in 34 starts. How is that inconsistent?

He'll be free to sign so I don't think his options are limited to Asia or the middle east - Personally I think he still has a lot to offer for teams in the top flight. Liverpool, Aresnal (if RVP leaves), Juventus, PSG, any club in Germany

He isn't free.

Any ideas why Sky Sports News are saying "it is our understanding Eden Hazard has decided to join Manchester United"?

We extended his contract by a year in March.

Bit stupid on Berba's part to try and force a transfer then isn't it? Especially since Utd will still want to see a decent return for a striker of his caliber - As some one has already suggested a sweetener in the Hazard deal could be a good swap for him or even sending him to Dortmund in exchange for Kawaga.

I thought that we didn't exercise the clause in his contract - but obviously I missed that. He's class and I do hope that he stays some where in the top flight as I don't think it's in his mind to "sell out". Similarly to the whole Owen debate I hope that they both do something productive.

Lastly - I hope Park retires as a United player.

They've only said he favours a move.

Yeh wondering why they saying this then saying four clubs are involved, sounds a bit muddled to say we are favourites then say four clubs are involved. Bah, god knows.

Certainly looking interesting, at least we are looking to bring in some good players, Asamoah, Kagawa and who knows maybe even Hazard (not counting on it) would be a brilliant bit of business for us, especially having Asamoah, a ball-winning mid we have needed for a fair old while. Obviously nothing is concrete but at least we are looking in the right places.

Blame Hazard, not Sky.
Hazard is teasing everyone and should just make up his mind. He was suppose to make his decision known yesterday, but said he still hadn't decided.

Maybe because Chelsea came in with a late bid? Don't blame Hazard, it's probably the most important decision of his life, why should he be rushed? It's not his fault that he's badgered by the media and asked the same question in every interview

Although on Sky Sports News report video, it says Eden Hazard says he prefers a move to Manchester United rather than Manchester City or Chelsea, so not sure what is going on.

He's been playing games. If you follow him from about 6 months ago, he has done nothing but mouth off to the media, and not via his agent.

Has he really though? I mean howcome you never see any video evidence of him saying this?

He probably shouldn't have named the interested clubs, think he's definitely trying to bump up the contract offers

He and his agent know exactly what they are doing. He'll need to deliver quick at United, because the players wont tolerate a big time charlie not producing, and neither will SAF. Assuming he goes there.

He's said he would prefer United.
Said that he'd look good in red of blue.
Said that he'd be playing in Manchester next season.
Said that he'd be making his mind up before the last game of the season.

Now he's saying he hasn't made up his mind just because Chelsea won the Champions league.
He's playing games. I can understand that it's a hard choice for him, but I don't think anyone would be this vocal about such an important decision. I'd just shut out the world and focus on it.

You've forgotten his earlier talk about Arsenal, and Spurs, and Real Madrid.
