Good second half, but RVP was a bit wasteful. Tottenham basically parked a bus in front of their goal and was throwing bodies towards every effort. They couldn't even walked out of their half, but yet we failed to convert our chances. We wouldn't have put ourselves in such a situation if we played with any sort of passion in the first half though.

Just hoped the penny has dropped with fergie and realises giggs and scholes should not be starting games and our midfield is still weak!

Great second half performance, shame should have had at least 2 penalties.

Worrying bit is why do we always start playing after going down or after half time.

Thats what we will get aslong as carrick, scholes, giggs are all playing in midfield:(

Was about to say the same. Scholes was bossing the midfield 2nd half-far too much space and his passing was his usual quality. But Gallas-what a rock in defence

We played 6 games in the PL thus far and had found ourselves behind in 5 of them. No idea why the team needs to be scored against to start playing properly. Had been this case for quite some time, even last season we were always terrible in the first half and much better in the second.

Was so much better when giggs went off pace of our play changed straight away! Worrying thing is i expect the same against newcastle with giggs n scholes starting.

Lacked a marshaller in front of the back 4. Sooner vidic returns the better, and fletcher

For me, it was the wrong move to take Kagawa off. He was excellent cutting inside from the left (in the 2nd half) and we had no clear cut opportunities after he came off. Welbeck did not do much anyway.

Needed to play like that in the 1st half. Giggs and Scholes should never start together again. Created enough chances to at least draw or even win in the 2nd half, few strong penalty shouts turned down.

Disappointing result, team needs to start taking games by the scruff of the neck from the start of games, not once we go behind. The Rooney and RVP partnership looks to be flourishing though.

Michael Carrick - 108 passes, 86 % pass accuracy
Paul Scholes - 148 passes, 91 pass accuracy

How about that?

Was dumbfounded when saw starting line-up new we would get bossed like i said before hope fergie realises this but susspect they will both start next league game away at newcastle. Will be interesting to see if ando and clevers start on tues if they do will see the difference in tempo straight away.

What about 1st half stats? second half should be racking up stats like that with the amount of space and time they had!

Scholes had 90% passing accuracy with around 40 passes in the first half. He really wasn't doing that bad. Giggs on the other hand had like 12 passes with 50% accuracy...

What a game! What an absolute breathtaking game.If I ever see Giggs starting again I am not watching the game.and It honestly scares the **** out of me to imagine United without Paul Scholes. What a Legend. He's got Asthma. He's 37 and he does that astounding!Seriously need to kick on and drop giggs!

Yeah, Giggs was very poor, I think his time is almost at an end now.

On a seperate note, Defoe was excellent with dragging our defenders out of position, especially as we were stretched at the back for all 3 Spurs' goals.
